How the flying fuck does Linux still not have a file chooser with icon view in the year 2017?
How am I supposed to shitpost like this?
Because you're using GNOME rather than literally anything else.

Dragon drop from you're file manager.
You need to have 3 or 4 windows open at all times to justify using a tiling window manager anyway.
You ARE using arch with i3, right? RIGHT?

That is GTK for you, you have to thank Red Hat for having such good programmers in the Gnome team.

Organize your reaction pictures into folders by content and give them descriptive names when you save them. Character name + emotion displayed is generally enough to identify the picture.
In the end I mostly use the same 5 reaction images all the time.

the picker has icons, but they are very small.
usually big enough if you know what your looking for...and there's a preview pane to confirm.
If uncertain, right click on folder in file picker "open in file manager"
use drag+drop if you want to dump a bunch.
I'm still waiting for a decent quicklook clone for linux. Cant really preview my animated gifs too well otherwise.

GNOME is closer to GNU and the FSF than it is to Red Hat.
