you might have that old client, but what you would also need is the specific database as well, that can either be other obtained legally, after looots of talk and bureocratical bullshit with Nex or by reverse-engineer one which is higly time consuming, repetitive, and stressful.

Holy shit this game again. There are a good amount of working private servers right now... are you talking about remaking the game with new code (reverse engineering)? I would love a game similar to it. 2D RPGs just do it for me for some reason.
