LG G5 is ok, wasn't as good as the other 2016 flagships (S7 and HTC 10) but for the $250 it's selling now it's a great deal.

V20 is a good phone with plenty of nice features like the secondary display, dual cameras, quad DAC, removable battery, IR blaster... Battery life isn't the best but having a removable battery means you can use extended size batteries, there's 6400mah and even a 10,000mah battery available.

I have one. The large 18:9 display isn't chunky, and I can use it easily with one hand. I upgraded from a 4.5 display and I honestly can't look back now. The G6 is a solid phone, it's essentially like the S8, a near bezel fee display, but without the curved bezels that the Galaxy S8 has. Battery life on the G6 is decent, gets me through the day. It uses USB-C to charge so it only takes about an hour to fully charge.

I have a flexible budget of 250€
What's the best smartphone in this price range? I don't have to do anything demanding with it, but I'd still like it to be fluid. Also, the sturdier and more durable, the better.

people have noted that jelly scrolling is due to it's display being mounted upside down which fucks up the way pixels refresh.
If you turn OP3t upside down and try scrolling, you'll get the same jelly effect, and if you turn your OP5 upside down the jelly effect will disappear.
since it's a hardware issue it's unlikely that oneplus will try to fix that.

Alright so Im looking at phones in a similar monthy price range £12 - £16 (U.K) and found the SG A3 and Iphone 5s to be in this range with the 'ID' service provider.

What do you guys think about the provider + android vs apple?

Buy a factory unlocked phone outright and get a sim only plan. You will save literally hundreds of pounds by doing this, and you'll be getting more for less in terms of monthly cost and the data/calls/texts you'll be getting.

I love it so far. I came from the LG G3. Although the phone is slightly bigger it's easy to use and hold with one hand. I love the camera, the smoothness, screen, pretty much everything. It's pretty damn clean. My G3 had a 1440p screen but the oneplus 5's creen looks so much better. As for the jelly issue. I don't see anything, or at least my eyes can't detect anything. Only downside is mine came with a slight scruff above the camera (prob through shipping).

Also, seeing the development of Samsung products, I saw they never changed their philosophy, so they always packed their phones full of shit, and designed them around ridiculous gimmicks. S8 is a prime example of this: they tried to innovate so much they shot themselves in the foot. I would have given my ass to Samsung for that incredible all-screen design, but the all-glass/zero-survivability body, the bixby button, the curved edges, the bad ergonomics of the fingerprints sensor, the attempt to outjew Google with their own bloatware, made me refrain from buying another of their products.

After realizing this, I've also thought that for such an average use, there's no point in spending stupid amounts of money on a smartphone, so whoever can give me actually functional features in a sturdy design wins my money. Apparently Nokia did with the Nokia 6; too bad it's still TBA on the european market.

So, I'm still using a Droid Turbo 1. Should I consider upgrading?

Yes this is a problem since they even made the update automathic even if you refuse them everytime you see the notification IT WILL UPDATE the software in tricky ways, i think it can only be avoided with rooting


For sure for average use you dont necesseraly need a flagship, you can find some midranger who can be more cost-efficent, we will need to see how this nokia phones goes on the long run but for sure the midranger phones are getting better and better everyday.
