Yes. I used to look at charts and recommendations before even downloading anime or hentai. Now I'm downloading everything that I might even slightly like at some point in the future on a very, very rainy day, if I'm really desperate for something else to watch. You can use the logic that "backing up anything that was torrented is a meme" if you want, but between data caps, the dwindling availability of pub trackers, and other problems, backing up everything you download isn't a bad idea.

The cost argument really doesn't hold much water either, as HDDs are cheap as fuck, especially when purchased refurbished.

That solution would work fine. If you wanted to, you could spring for a 3rd drive and create a RAID5 array (giving you 6TB total of redundant space). Just something to consider. I generally like having way more space available to me than what I can feasibly use, but if cost is a consideration, go with what you can.

Alternatively, you could build a RAID5 with 4 2TB drives (once again, giving you 6TB or redundant space). Since higher capacity drives increase in price somewhat exponentially, be sure to consider building a larger array of smaller drives.

I have 2 MicroCenters within a 15 minute drive from where I live, so I guess I'm effectively cheating.
Apart from going to one in person, you can order from them, but at that point, you can also order from Amazon, Newegg, etc.

I've used it for a pastebin project, a project manager, a todolist and a pomf rewrite.
Golang is great and has most packages that you need.
Some more obscure libraries don't exist though.
My favourite languages are Go, C, Python with an honourable mention to lisp.
But for webdev I much prefer go.
Go is simple, easy to contribute to and concurrent as hell.
It's been effectively using all of my servers processing power without even doing anything special.
Also compiled static binaries mean minimal setup for people.
