I'm 6'1, have pretty big hands and typing on it is pretty fucking good. It's also insanely useful for shortcuts for apps and shit like locking or unlocking the screen. And once you use a trackpad you never want to go back. Most apps support the API that it uses and it's heavenly browsing shit with it. The gestures are nice too I guess.

It only gets warm when I update shit tons of apps at once and never has gotten hot. And the battery isn't shit at all, I get 4h30 SoT usually. I assume it'll only get better once marshmallow hits.

For this price I can get Lumia 640 XL, Redmi Note 2 or Huawei P8 (this one only with T-Mobile contract). What I want is good (for that price range) rear camera and no lags on (mostly) social apps. I'd like to play a game or two like Asphalt, but I can live without it.

I left my OS at Cyanogen Kitkat 4.0. The camera app as a default is pretty good and useufl with all those features. You have to actully go in the settings to mess with the features. The only good features are the front-camera blur.

I just got my first Android phone, a Nexus 6. I've been installing update after update and just remembered that I should unlock the bootloader. I've looked up some tutorials (one said that it voids the warranty, but I've always heard that unlocking the bootloader and rooting didn't affect Nexus warranties) and they warn me to back up my phone (still need to learn how to do that, I'll look it up) and just restore it afterword. I have nothing on my phone, I haven't even put in my contacts yet. Literally all I've done is install some OS updates, so do I even need to worry about backing anything up? Won't it basically be like a factory reset? Or will it reset my OS back to 5.0? I'm on 5.1.1 right now, I haven't installed 6.0 yet, I had planned to do that before unlocking the bootloader.

You know those rubbery looking lines on iPhone's and all aluminum phones? Those are because Aluminum reflects cellular waves and there needs to be a place for them to come out.

Nexus thought they'd be cool by putting it under a giant glass visor. It looks kind of cool but I wouldn't use it without a case.

How's the Moto x play?

Seems like the perfect device for me. Big battery, big screen. I couldn't care much about its camera quality, as long as it is decent.

I have a note 4, and it is just thrash. Slow recent apps button, battery is being drained by god knows what. The only good thing is the nice camera.

I bought a Nexus 6 during Amazon's Black Friday sale. Seems like a pretty nice phone so far, but the Marshmallow update isn't available for some reason. I did some Googling and it looks like it's pretty easy to unlock the bootloader and install it yourself, but I'm having second thoughts after reading a thread linked earlier http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/repairing-nexus-6-marshmallow-6-0-t3241976

I've found numerous tutorials and videos on the subject that don't mention this at all. Maybe it only happens if you follow those instructions for unlocking and rooting if you're already on Marshmallow. Can anyone confirm? Basically, I'm looking for some (hopefully true) accounts where someone used a guide while still on Lollipop to unlock the bootloader and flash Marshmallow without anything horrible happening. I was thinking about using the one one gottabemobile (I'd post the link but who knows what'll get you autobanned these days).
