Spec to Spec the Apple is a mid grade phone.

What separates an Apple phone from any other android phone is the fact OS was optimized for that phone, if Apple where to allow third party phone devs to use their OS they would have the same issues that Android phones have.

Ask any Dev who has to write a program for both Android and Apple, They have to optimize the Android version to work with different hardware (CPU,RAM,SCREEN SIZE).
