Is there any reason not to use Chrome over Safari on my hackintosh desktop?
What speaks against Chrome again besides the botnet you can disable in the settings?
I dislike the lack of favicons and html bugs in safari.
Pic unrelated

I use chrome on my hackintosh desktop. Works fine. afaik the only reason to use safari is because it saves battery life on a laptop.

Is there any way to make chrome only update and call home when you manually click the update button?
This shit is so annoying and shady.

I use safari because scrolling is smoother and battery life is better than any other browser on OSX.

Maybe things are different oh hackintosh. I assumed battery life was shit across the board given you're using non standard hardware.

Unfair comparison

Safari uses secret APIs and system processes

Chrome is self contained

Well that's tab-specific processes. Regardless, it's well-known that Safari uses less resources on OS X than Chrome.

Battery life is worse on a laptop hackintosh but its still like 3 hours on my HP Elite book.

>possible to disable chrome botnet in settings
