gdipp only works on some Windows programs, it doesn't work on Word or Ms Office suite for example.

Infinality isn't essential, you can make fonts look just as good with vanilla fontconfig.

When I saw this image, I expected that op was going to suggest we switch to Chinese or whatever the fuck that is, because it is compact and saves screen space. This is what I have come to expect from you guys

Install gentoo and emerge fontconfig-ultimate. Alternatively, assuming you want to stay on Microshaft Wangblows, uninstall gdipp, and install mactype, as the latter is gdipp's spiritual successor.

Mactype isn't being developed anymore but it's still probably the best experience you can get on windows 7
