Why should I not switch to Windows 10? I'm still on 8 and want to know what the issues are.
literally no issues
it just works

I've had some problems with the menus taking way too long to come up, for example control panel is slow as shit for me. And it fucked with my ASIO4All drivers, making it crash every time I tried to change a setting. I recently switched to Windows 7, and I'm feeling great.
>>51578260
stick to 8.1

>literally no issues
good goyim

in case this is not bait:
You should probably switch. Once you iron out the telemetry, spying things with tools that you can google, you're gonna have a very smooth, fast OS.
>>51579055
>once you iron out the spyware
lol, get real
>>51579069
yeah yeah, i know, install gentoo blablabla.
So tired of this meme shit.
then again, no one should come here expecting serious advice.

I'm on 10.
It has a lot of little bugs and slightly unsettling things.
8(.1) Was the comfiest OS I've ever used.
You're missing virtual desktop, but you can have them through a thrid party program, but that's all.
8.1 is better for everything else

Can't stop Windows from installing drivers.
>>51579491
You can at least delay it on Pro.
>>51579548
I know but I don't want it delayed. This is just a complete clusterfuck by MS.
>>51579576
Well, I do actually agree there. While I understand the need to force critical security updates, Windows should not be forcing installation of third-party software.
It's particularly a problem on laptops, where a lot of vendors have custom drivers and things break in Windows forces that to be "upgraded" to the latest version of the stock driver.
Something happens if I upgraded unofficial windows 7 to Windows 10?
Is there a way to get windows 10 for free for a totally new computer? I don't want to drop 90 fucking dollars on an OS
the main reason I haven't pirated it already is because I don't like the ugly "this version of windows 10 is not certified" or whatever thing at the bottom right corner of the screen
>>51578260
AppLocale isn't compatible.
>>51578260
Poo in the fucking loo, Sanjay
sound didn't work at first for me
and every once in a while start menu/search stops working
otherwise it's fine

>Windows 10
botnet

also botnet
Only problem I've had so far is upon booting up, sometimes all the icons on my desktop would change to a black box. I read that deleting thumbnails using Disk Cleanup fixed it, but it would do this every so often.
Also had a problem with Core Temp not displaying its G15 applet upon startup, making me have to close and restart the program every time.
Rest of the OS was pretty good, and did notice some little improvements in my games, but I'm gonna wait before I make a permanent switch to 10.
install gentoo

You want a reason not to upgrade to Windows 10? I just upgraded last night, and now my machine is literally unusable outside of Safe Mode. The thing freezes about a minute after login.

$0.50 has been credited to your Microsoft App Store account.
Having a hell of a time dealing with 10 after upgrading from 8. Profiles are bugged as hell and the November update only made things worse.
