Well, cyber monday is coming up and I was wondering what you guys thought because I ended up having this debate with my friends last night. We're all upgrading our computers and I'm stuck between these two GPUS. Which do you think is the better mid-price card on the market right now? The R9 390 or GTX 970?

My bud has the r9 390 and says the only bad thing was the size, but if you got a large tower, you should be fine. it's worth it for the 8GB ram alone.

i love my 390 (xfx). plays everything i have at 1080. completely trouble free. i guess the new drivers give radeon cards a few extra fps for what its worth.
