I like clementine, there's about a dozen classic theme winamp clones also

Decibel.

It's the only one I found that has decent ability to play from your own folder hierarchies.

CMUS m9
>>
CLI - mpd or moc
GUI - Deadbeef
>>
Why even bother? Linux doesn't have professional grade audio drivers like Windows has, Windows sounds 10 times better to the trained ear simply because its audio situation isn't a huge mess.

DeaDBeeF hands down.

>having trained ears

Hahaha, enjoy replacing happiness and enjoyment with a misguided sense of superiority.

Tried Deadbeef and the audio quality was not as good as Audacious. It was also slower to load and heavier. Loading streaming media took longer. Maybe it was because it was built from the AUR repository or because I used the wrong audio settings.

>no music player on GNU+Linux that can play SACD and DVD-A ISOs

foobar2000 linux port when

I did use foobar under wine, and the audio skipped a lot.
>>
>>51556999
Deadbeef has a settings you know, try them, you were probably using ALSA instead of Pulseaudio or some wrong speaker setup.
>>
cantata has a really nice interface and uses mpd, what's not to like?
