The only fault I had with mine was a crack in the chassis around the SIM slot...four of my co-workers also have 5's and they ask had it too.

I mean, how could Google bring this out and think it's any good? Check out the comparison between that and the 4c.

I get the appeal of iPhone/iOS in having a highly optimised environment but what's the point when you have to pay double?

Honestly it's just like the Windows vs Linux argument...I don't bother with my pc because of gaymen and work programs. But given scant resources in a phone it's nice to optimise it and be able to have it your way

How is flashing some zips heavy modification? Replacing the in built battery would be a heavy modification.

Keep in mind this phone is now two years old so the battery is starting to get tired also...

Regardless the good thing is here that it is possible to do. It still has good battery life (one full day) without all these things but it does improve by ~20% or do with them in place

It had piss poor battery, only 2gbs of ram, piss poor camera, the only redeeming thing about it was it was cheap.

And then you compare it to the htc-uck house fire m9 which has a camera on par with the n5 and the chinkmi mi4c which runs the god awful chinkmiui.

If anything, the g2/3 was god tier, it was essentially a nexus 5 with a detachable battery, a fucken way better camera, same number of custom roms, SD card slot, and didn't break into a thousand pieces if you dropped it.

Just got a OnePlus X and its pretty good. Camera is shit but it's not like there's going to be another Nokia 808.

Can't believe there's no NFC, its pretty cheap to add. At the same time I have no use for it personally, just happy that I'm back to a modern OS.

Having said all that, find a good current 5" phone. The M9, Mi4C and 1+X is literally it.

Out of those three, only one has band 28 support for Ausfailia so considering swapping to the M9 but they're far too dear

Easy, lg g4, xperia z5, samshit s6 (to an extent), even the moto x style.

The chinkmi4c doesn't belong there nor does the m9, the m9 is a joke and the 4c can't really be considered flagship.

If you want a good 5", reasonably priced flagship-like phone, that will work on major networks like optus and Telstra, the moto x style/play wins hands down.

I just don't really get your fascination with the m9, the only appealing feature of would be the boom sound speakers and the somewhat attractive unibody design. It literally gets out done in a lot of other aspects like battery, display quality, camera, etc. by other 2015 flagships.

yeah mine had that crack too. After a year of owning it it had the same kind of cracks by the power and volume buttons. even lost a chunk of the plastic after a second one appeared by the sim card slot. other than that and the shit battery life it was an amazing phone. i miss it ;_;
