I just installed new RAM, upgrading from 8GB in 4 2GB sticks to 16GB in 4 4GB sticks. I don't know anything about how RAM speed works but I'm pretty sure that 535MHz is slower than it should be. Can someone please advise me how to handle this?

What speed is the ram specs
Go into your BIOS and enable XMP.

On the packaging I see it says DDR3-1600 so I assume 1600 from that.

DDR = DOUBLE DATA RATE
get educated.

this

for DDR3-1600 he should show at 800 in speccy which means OP didn't enable the profile in the BIOS

It could be 1066 and be mislabeld

Ok I will try that.

Perhaps your motherboard isn't compatible with DDR3-1600, so it's underclocking it?

So I went to the BIOS and went to the AI tweaker but there was no XMP option. I enabled something called DOCP and the speed is higher now but I don't know if this is where it should be.

No, that's where it should be.
Thank you for your assistance, good to see that /g/ is genuinely helpful.
