about:config --> browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl
double-click browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl.
Delete all the text so that the preference value is blank, then press the OK button.
Exit Firefox.
Delete the moz-safe-about+home folder inside the profile folder.
Restart firefox.
thank me later.

Call me when firefox has html5 date and time support, its cve's are fixed, its download window shows information, tabs can be put on bottom or top, australis can be disabled, the botnet is not forced, and there is a status bar.
>>
>>51521877

I see that decision to go from Google to Yahoo is working out well for Mozilla...

Why?

Mozilla is garbage ran by politically motivated personal that are willing to fire fellow employees based on their own private, personal political beliefs that don't impact their job.

Anyone that supports Mozilla supports facism.
>>
>>51525392
Exactly.
>>
>>51521877
All I want to know is which other browser has tab group support and if I can import my tab groups into it. I'm too entrenched in firefox to leave. The fact that they are getting rid of tab groups is the straw that's breaking the camels back. Too much bullshit on their end.

fuck no. everything they've done to firefox lately has just made it worse. I switched to pale moon long ago.
>>
>>51525776
I want to believe but its like trying to stay with an abusive spouse. May-be they can change?
>>
>>51525858
Mozilla is only happy if they have all Chrome users and are place one in the browser wars.

Which means they remove all features which stop this way. And guess what, they will even with things like that never reach both goals!
>>
>>51525858
So, no, What is not killed now, will be killed when Servo is upcoming. It is Mozilla's equivalent of "pulling an Opera" - replacing the engine from customizable to native - which means non customizable and replacing features of power users with features for simple users.
>>
>>51523053
>>51523185
and tabs are squared. That's literally the most relevant reaeon I use Pale Moon instead of Firefox.

XUL support.
>>
>>51525858
Palemoon forked the rendering engine so they can keep it even when firecuk switches to servo. They fix security holes much faster than firefox and improve performance in every update. They remove all the botnet, and keep but disable useful features that are security risks such as pdfjs. They restore customization while bringing better standard compliance to the browser (such as better html5 support than firefox). What's not to like?
>>
>>51525814
Vimperator works with palemoon.
>>
>>51525982
name is furry and gay
>>
>>51521877
only if they remove botnet
>>
>>51525982
Well, they take all the security fixes from Bugzilla. Once XUL is dead and Servo is there, Pale Moon can not fix bugs anymore. And stuff like HTML5 and ES6/ES7 Javascript features can not be simply backported anymore. At least not the complex stuff.

Pale Moon is a dead end - It may still be usable, but that changes in the next 1-2 years.

>>

False.
>And stuff like HTML5 and ES6/ES7 Javascript features
Palemoon has better html5 support than firefox. This has been the case for the last 3+ years.
JS has nothing to do with browsers as opposed to js engines which are decoupled.
The only dead end is you, mozillhurr.

Is it possible to use the KDE file picker with palemoon?
>>
>>51526117
Yes.
>>
>>51526163
Oh shit, now I'm strongly considering switching. Is it easy to do or does it require some weird patch or something?
>>
>>51526179
Why would it not be possible? In regular firefox it's a setting in about:config
>>
>>51526242
The about:config setting allows you to choose between gtk and xul filepickers. The gtk one is much better. Using the kde filepicker requires a patch.
>>
>>51526242
What? In regular firefox, you have to patch it and then set your xinitrc or bashrc to KDE.
>>
>>51526254
>>51526266

Yes. Because it's the only browser that is still usable now that Opera is dead (anything past v12 is a blatant chrome clone with ads on start page). Firefox's dumbing down is because of the retarded normies who can't into computers to save their lives.

>>51526393

Reminder that palemoon dies as soon as firefox changes it's addons library because of the new settings they are trying to implement.
