Question, I'm thinking about getting a rMBP to replace my current 4 yo laptop. Is it worth waiting till the next refresh? seems like that would be in March next year

Probably March at the latest. Some rumours say just after black Friday, some say before Christmas. If you look at the release cycle, March would be unusually long, especially given the very short time between broadwell and skylake. I'm going to get a 13" rMBP to replace my 7yo laptop and am waiting for the new one. There are some black Friday deals on rMBPs which may point to a refresh sooner rather than later.
