I've been using adblock plus since... well so long i can't remember when i started using it.

it just werks, and it werks well.

i use the following filters:
Adblock Warning Removal List
EasyList
Adware filters
Malware Domains
Spam404
Fanboy's Enhanced Tracking List
EasyPrivacy
Fanboy's Annoyance List

i keep hearing people talk about ublock(origin) and say its better than adblock plus. i haven't been liking how close adblock plus has been getting with advertisers and lately been thinking about switching to ublock(origin).

i have a few questions.

>1)
what are the differences between ublock and ublock origin? i tried googling, i tried even reading off of ublock origin site, and they don't really explain much nor go into detail why one is better than the other. all i get is someone "retired" then came back and made their own version and didn't want to play nice with the other people.

>2)
what makes ublock better than ublock origin and vice versa?

>3)
what makes ublock(origin) better than adblock plus other than it doesn't have the option to enable and disable acceptable ads because it doesn't offer acceptable ads? such as does it do a better job at filtering?

>4)
i herd ublock(origin) doesn't actually block and prevent the ads from ever even loading. instead it lets them load and just "hides" them. is this true or a meme?

>5)
do all adblock plus filters work with ublock(origin)?

uBlock Origin is developed by the creator of uBlock. Regular uBlock is developed by a panhandling jew.

>2
Basically features. ublock Origin is developed quicker than regular uBlock.

>3
It's a general filter, you can also protect yourself from things that aren't ads. It is also way more memory efficient than adblock.

>4
It's a meme. The uBlock Origin wiki has a page about it.

>5
Yes, and more. You can activate them within the add-on settings.
>>
i guess ublock is shit if no one can talk about it.

google just shows the same nonsense as this. no one can state why outside of "adblock plus sucks" thats why

try qwant

1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBlock#uBlock_Origin tl;dr Origin is maintained by the original dev

2. don't use ublock it's dead and the dev is a phony

3. it's faster

4. https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/Does-uBlock-block-ads-or-just-hide-them%3F

5. mostly
>>
>>51512425
You could have found it if you had just googled it.
>>

No problem, and remember: it's your browser.
