What's the best photo viewer for windows?
It seems that the stock Windows Photo Viewer doesn't open images to their actual size, instead downsizing it for some reason
Is there an equivalent photo viewer like the ones I always on the loonux threads for windows?
I'm looking for something that opens images to their actual size and doesn't have any of the unnecessary border bullshit the stock Windows Photo Viewer has.
Pic related, look at all that shit. I just want to see the fucking picture, but instead windows photo viewer includes all this bullshit.

jpegview is pretty decent
>>51502295
irfanview for life
Honeyview is nice.
>>51502315
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jpegview/
this one?
seems there's a few programs with that name
XNview is dabes
>>51502295
Use your Scroll Wheel
>>51502451
You'd think that would work but it just pixelates it because windows downsizes them automatically for some fucking reason
>>51502295
I'm used to impression eyes.
>>51502502
Then it's already open at full size
>>51502295
picasa photo viewer is god tier
>>51502295
All of them are shit
There's literally not even a good image viewer anywere
Anyways
>Irfranview
>XnView
>Honeymoon (old version before it was destroyed)
>FastStone Image Viewer
>FastPicture Viewer
>ACDSee
Irfranview is quite the oldest and most reliable one, ACDSee used to be the best but it's quite dated nowadays, XnView is pretty much like Irfranview
>>51502520
But it's not.
Windows always downsizes to some arbitrary size
>>51502582
you know you can press the >O< button (next to |< button) to make it 1:1 right
>>51502582
Check your settings, mine opens to full size, I'm opening a 3640x2736 Image on a 1440p display and it opens to full size
I'm stuck with irfanview myself because it shows so many fucking image types.
Impression eyes, hands down.
I always used Honeyview on windows, also not Honeyview 3, but the older version.
>>51502537
I can taste the bloat from here.
>>51502511
>>51502605
For reference it's like feh or sxiv but with less UI and more features. If you want an image viewer to view images I can't think of anything better.
>>51502615
apart from the buttons at the bottom, there is no chrome, so therefore way less bloat than all other apps
>>51502624
It's too bad there's no x64 version.
>>51502295
>Windows Photo Viewer
Windows 10 just got rid of that program and now forces you to use their new Photo's app.
Just viewer and some simple stuff?
JPEGview
You want a bit more like a screenshot tool, file browser, batch renamer and other stuff:
FastStone
>>51502295
>Vista and all derivative versions literally can't display animated gifs
>20xx
my fucking sides
>>51502670
You mean in windows/file explorer preview?
Currently using honeyview.
but jesus, why can't any of them seriously do "sort by..." and whatever windows explorer system is sorted out (have downloads folder "sort by date", torrents "sort by name", etc).
What is the technical reason for noone doing it?
>>51502656
Are you looking at 4GB images? I thought NASA had hteir own tools for this. I'm really bummed that there's no open source equivalent, the closest thing I can think of is "preview" for Mac OS. If it existed I wouldn't be using Windows but since it doesn't exist and I already have it for my platform I have no incentive to make it myself, what a dilemma.
>>51502657
Which at least is better than the old windows photo viewer.
>forcing
You can change default program to open images
>>51502677
I mean what I say and say what I mean m8
https://github.com/easymodo/qimgv/releases
Here is this thing I was writing in a free time.
It's a simple viewer which supports gifs and webm.
There's always ahoviewer.
>>51502734
>supports webm
truly a hero.
i can't believe no one's heard of imagine
it's like irfanview but not shit
http://www.nyam.pe.kr/blog/entry/Imagine
>>51502768
>on fosshub
>not even open source
JPGView works for me, fast, lean, deadly efficient but it can be a bitch in terms of remembering the actual settings sometimes. Some options labeled as one action do exactly the opposite but once you figure it out it works great.

I've been using the same config for a year and a half
Sucks how I lose default application every os update though
