Be honest
have you read it?
>>51500995
yeah, it sucked.
art is bad and the translation is unreadable.
>>51500995
Yes. It's good as a basic overview of SQL for highschoolers and women.
The character designs are cute, and many types of basics are covered.
>>51500995
Yes, cover to cover. It didn't help solve my problem but provides a decent introduction to databases.
>>51500995
Somewhat. I started but I never managed to finish it.
How many have you read, /g/?
>>51500995
Where can I download those?
>>51500995
No, why? Because 1) I didn't really know it existed; 2) I covered DBA with Oracle SQL DB at Uni (only class I got a 90+% in); 3) I'm wary of tech guides with anime characters on them.
If textbooks (my only source) have taught me anything it is that a Computer related text should have an abstract photo or something unrelated on the cover.
>>51505289
three
>>51500999
Translation? It was made in America, not Japan. Only made to look like anime to attract weebs.
>>51505289
Fucking hell that's cringe-worthy
>>51506622
You've lost the ability to appreciate
>>51506642
I'm only cringing because someone said it was made by some Americans to mooch off the gullible weebs. And honestly, the covers do look really cringey if that's their goal.
>>51505289
Why are the MCs a bunch of semen demons?
>>51505289
Statistics and molecular biology. Like people already said, they are good as introduction.
>>51506666
There are clearly japanese names on the cover.
>>51506773
I can assure you they're Japanese, officially translated as well, so the actual nuts and bolts of the descriptions aren't lost for the most part.
You can find them on bakaBT by googling "bakaBT the manga guide to _____" and filling in the blank. Here's the database one: https://bakabt.me/torrent/156459/manga-de-wakaru-database-the-manga-guide-to-databases
The ones on nyaa are probably better quality scans but because it's nyaa they're poorly seeded. http://www.nyaa.se/?page=search&cats=0_0&filter=0&term=the+manga+guide
>>51506837
Like I said, not really interested... But thanks for the clarification lol
For everyone trying to dump on books in this series (presumably you haven't read them ehh) I'd just point out they are published by No Starch Press, arguably one of the greatest no-bullshit technical imprints out there.
>>51500995
Of course not, it's degenerate.
>>51506845
Your name changes with every post.,
>>51506923
They sure are good, I prefer to order from them than to buy in my own language.
>>51500995
Read title of "Data Badasses"
>>51505289
I actually know a 15 year old girl I might get some of these for.
Would I read them? Hahahahano.
>>51505289
>>51500995
If they were actually good, people would actually recommend them.
That being said, I want one for Data Structures.
Not posting a link so we can learn something.

Databases, Statistics, and The Universe.
They're all shallower than "For Dummies" books, but a decent read if you want to get introduced to a topic by 2d qts.
