well i know off the top of the my head a 7990 performs on par with a single fury x.

considering a 7990 is two 7970's on a single board, two 7970's in crossfire should be as fast as a single fury x.

only downside is dealing with crossfire of course. both crossfire and sli are treated as bastard children by both companies even though both shill it like crazy.

I am running dual 7970s and I ocd the memory to 1400 and clock to about 1000 on each. Gave it + 5% or so all in CCC. Running 2 1080p monitors and a 144hz 1080p.

I get over 144 fps in civ V, Warframe, LOL, Dota, Sc2, CSGO while still using all monitors.

I get over 60 for sure on crysis 2

On shadow of mordor I had an average around 120fps.


I've been running them in a As tj08 matx case like this for over a year and a half and never once had a problem.

Fully? No. The space heater converts most of the electrical energy into heat, so it's very "efficient" at that. PCs, or moreso servers absolutely can put out enough heat to fill the role of a 'space heater', albeit much less efficient than a purpose built one. But... COMPUTER! And porn.

I bought a second 7970 ghz for gayming at 2160p only to find out that crossfire support in most games is really shit or not there at all.
Still haven't played fallout 4 for that reason.
