Anime is not the only thing to upload. The easiest way to get uploads is to download FLAC music and just transcode it to 320, v0, and v2. It's not hard.

Search nyaa for new BD encodes. Some people are slow in uploading these to AB if they aren't the more anticipated BD releases for a show. You can go back and look at anime from like 2-3 seasons ago and see if all of their BDs are released. http://anichart.net/spring-15. If you're in a third world country with a shitty connection, it's not a bad idea to invest in a seedbox.

I use a seedbox because I'm on a uni campus and while my uni doesn't rigorously block torrents, transferring several GBs of data will probably raise some redflags and I didn't want to go through the hassle. If you can afford it, then go for it. It's pretty useful and you can build massive buffers very easily in a short amount of time.
