Even Java?
What do you mean even Java? They are notorious for bundling crapware. At least this is better than the shitty Ask toolbar they used to install.

i've never seen anything like that in a java installer.
you run the installer, click the install button and wait. that's it.

>Installer looks like some ancient shit with aliased text
Try harder nigga.
WTF is window snip?
>>51445304
This, it's been literally years
>>51445366
It seems you have been using another version of the installer
>>51445366
Why even use those installers for Windews anyways when ninite (the website) is a thing? That place is jizztastic for putting stuff on Windows machines, it's what the Windows store should have been. Just click and go, you're done with no stupid adware prompts.

Except Minecraft uses its own Java Runtime Environment (JRE).

i usually use the JDKs from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html
but i just tried the JRE installer from java.com and it really was as simple as running the .exe, clicking the install button, waiting, clicking the close button. no yahoo, no ask toolbar.
They actually think this is OK.

firefox is going to kill the browser plugin next year. java will no longer be a browser thing soon.
>>51453172
How-to: disable Java Runtime Environment browser plug-in.

Forgot pic.

no I mean the browser plugin will be killed off for good. as in it won't be supported and the web can be closer to plugin free.
>>51445290
>not using openjdk
ayy lmao friend
>>51453213
Yes, I know. Google already removed the Netscape Plug-in API (NPAPI) from Chrome and Mozilla will follow suit. It's funny, though. Mozilla created the API when they were Netscape and now they are the ones being forced to nuke it.

Minecraft doesn't need a standalone JRE anymore. It uses its own.
