I have a VM (with a GPU and other PCI stuff assigned) that I only fire up for the occasional game, which currently runs 8.1. Every time I consider upgrading it to 10 for DX12, some bullshit update comes along and stops me from doing it.

So it's not true this time, but I'm sure somewhere in win10's TOS, they gave themselves this right. Very worrying. This us why my win10 machine is "by the books", and I do all my illicit shit via linux mint. It's a shitty slog on a shitty OS, but at least I don't have to even worry about the POSSIBILITY of the devs spying on me.

I do the same, got a shitty laptop running mint to torrent stuff, then I copy the downloaded files onto a usb stick (32gb, if the files are too big I just split them in .rars), then I copy them over to my win 10 gaymen laptop, and then I game without windows even noticing what I did, this works pretty good and microshaft doesn't scan my ssd because I haven't visited Kat and Tpb a dozen times and I don't have a torrent client installed on my win 10 gayming laptop, everything aside windows 10 is bretty gud and very comfy tb.h, and it just werks (mostly).
