Google should really get some new free domain names, it's pretty ridiculous that they're one of the most popular email providers and yet they're out of addresses and won't do anything about it, not to mention that once you do pick an address you can never change it or add another gmail to the same account
Outlook still offers both @Outlook and @msn, so I was actually able to take my old ass hotmail from when I was a teenager and change it to FirstinitialLastname@Outlook, which is pretty rad

Why not set up your own mail?
It is cheap (a domain is like 5 bucks / year) and hardware is cheap, an old laptop will do, but you can rent a server if you don't want to deal with having the hardware yourself.

Alternatively, you could use your own domain on a gmail.
