I don't agree with this solution to generals. If the topic is broad enough, then it can gets its own board. Instead, generals should be done away via something like chatrooms because that is what they essentially are, when you boil it down, for different subtopics.

At this point, the whole concept of the imageboard needs to be overhauled from the bottom up. Like people seem to take some things for granted like being able to use reaction faces in response to a post without text but if you boil it down, it is basically contributes nothing and wastes bandwidth. Some stuff could be modernized as well, but it would require more effort than anyone would want to put into doing something like that.

Terrible idea. Boards like /v/ are so active that after 10 minute, thread usually land on page 10 (unless it is purely trolling thread, that cause way too much fishes grab the bait). Right now, if I want to get some answer or opinion about some game, I have to keep watching the thread and bump once or twice at page 10, or it would be gone.
