Xiaomi Mi4C.

Careful if you're US or territories, your telephony operators don't feature *ANY* of the LTE global bands (ITU designation) this phone supports.

Most other civilized and semi-civilized places are fine, though.

By the way, also give the Redmi Note 2 a look.

Not technically a flagship, but you can't really find too many apps that will even come close to struggling on it, and it has a PDAF camera and a lot of such neat stuff.

these have been in my mind for a while...
do you know where i can get mi4c to a reasonable pric?e
>>
>>51411368
The current price still is clearly above the chinese price, but gearbest has it for $255 (advanced edition) and $225 (standard edition).

Maybe it will come down another $20 or so even before Xiaomi themselves might reduce prices eventually, but it's probably "reasonable enough" now (it was $280 or so for early buyers).

If you sell it after a year there is an argument for this. Samsung S6/LGG4 have come down in price loads though.
>>
>>51411512
You forgot the PDAF camera, nice ROM (and long term support for it), and nicer than you'd think internals that aren't even on the spec sheet.

(Seriously, I was kinda suprised when muh then $120 Redmi 1S had >100MB/s on the internal storage. But then again, it's Xiaomi's thing, even a battery pack by them is pretty impressive.)

Thoughts on the Meizu Pro 5? Seems like a good phone but I'm suspicious of all these Chinese companies.
>>
>>51411600
It really sucks because no support for our LTE bands is pretty much the only thing I just can't do anything about, but I need to pay like 200 dollars more to get an equivalent phone that does support that.

overpriced as fuck

you're better off with xiaomi products or other brands

Yes, pretty much in all of Europe.

It features FDD-LTE bands 1 / 3 / 7 at 1800 / 2100 / 2600 MHz, and Europe has 3 and 7 pretty much everywhere:

>>51411613
No, I'm actually still on the Redmi 1s (many of my family members are on other models, sister has the Redmi 2 and so on), but I'll possibly buy one soon. Been watching the prices.

>>51411650
Can't help you with that, my impression really is that the US providers fucked you to retain their semi-monopoly on phone sales or something.

It is almost inexplicable that they'd have NONE of the global ITU bands otherwise.

its because it uses samsung's Exynos 7420.

Which is in the S6 and Note5. It is the best SoC you can buy right now, period.

Chinese wages (arguably also fairly poor work conditions) and manufacturing prowess.

Oh, Apple's hardware also probably doesn't cost more to manufacture (they're even using the same factories like Hon Hai "Foxconn" and the like), but they just rip you off for monies later on.

Actually, most smartphones are made in China anyways, so even with other brands it's often just the mark-up for profits... but maybe also sometimes the cost of lower volumes. Xiaomi is number 3 (maybe soon number 2?) in the business, they sell millions of each smartphone and other device they make.

>>51412757
Nope.
>>
>>51410324
Gflex 2, can be had for less than 300.

If you're really worried about throttling, disable two cores. Boom now you've got the 808 in the G4.
