How do you organize your music? A long time ago I used to

I have a single folder that holds all my music sorted only by %artist% - %title%
All the tags are correct, so foobar just organizes them for me in the library view.

When I was young I've organised my music like this: Artist/Year - Album/Song Numer - Song title.extension

And then I discovered tags, but I still have over 3000 songs organized like that.

Check out beets. It's a python based music organiser, and it is very configurable. It tags music according to filename patterns and/or acoustic id.

For artists: \music\artist
For assorted songs: \music\genre
For assorted youtube rips: \music\youtube
For touhou: \music\touhou\circle

that said, my Touhou folder is 50GB and rising every month.
I should move it out of my Music folder.

Desktop > Music > Artist > Album

Simple as that.

I use online services, usually just go to this site youtube.com, type in the song or artist I want to listen to, and magic happens

I do the organization in Foobar.
