/g/ I'm looking for an easy way to change default indent distances in Microsoft Word.
All options and results on Google I can find only change a single paragraph, but they are never kept across the entire document. This is really annoying.
What I want is pic related. Does anyone have an idea where to do this?

I appreciate your opinions and help, but FUCK LaTeX. Yes I used it many times for essays and such (because I had to).
It's not that bad, but LaTeX has its own set of troubles that Word doesn't have, and vice versa.
I'd use that template in Word to make quick notes, like when I read a PDF-script and write list notes down in Word. I can Alt+Shift+Right indent inward and Alt+Shift+Left indent back fairly quickly without having to use obscure escape characters in LaTeX.
Also, I'm really looking for a solution in Word.
It's 2015. This should be a possible thing.

A good markdown editor plus pandoc for conversion to LaTeX works well for this.

I still don't want to use LaTeX, Mister.
Latex is a fucking piece of shit for anything that's not an academic paper that follows a specific format.
Shitty shitty syntax. '\' destroys your pinky.
Package collisions everywhere, EVERYWHERE
Worthless compilation error messages.
Lists require \begin{itemize}\item\item\end{itemize} as opposed to something like lines starting with hyphens
Tables are awful too. List inside a table? Nope.
Almost impossible to change formatting locally. Indent a chapter? Nope.
Have to use shitty hacks and work-arounds even for the simplest things. For example, you can't even nest bold text, italic and capitalized text together

modify (and save) the default style maybe

I've tried that, but that doesn't help as well.
So in this option window it's possible to enter values for indents, but of course they only apply to the current paragraph the cursor is at.
Also, choosing "level 1" or "level 2" and so on from the marked drop down doesn't change the values beneath as one would assume, so that's pretty damn useless. Jzuz K Riste
