Go to bios, disable secure boot. Then set usb3.0 to auto or whatever settings it shows supporting legacy hardware and OS.

I would use 8.1 if I had a license if I were you. 7 is not meant for modern laptops and you need to work your way around some driver issues.

HP is notorious for not supporting Windows 7 drivers for their latest offerings, not sure about your Acer.
