What chair does /g/ use?
Bayside Metro Mesh Office Chair. One of the best $99.99 I've spent on a chair.
Replaced a $350 high-back Ergonomic task chair from a local office supply boutique store. I was hesitant when I saw this one but decided to take the chance. I've had it for 2 years now and it's been great. I'm 190 lbs. It's comfortable and doesn't heat up especially in the summer.
It doesn't conceal farts though.
Uh, let's see. There's the seat-y bit, where you bum goes, and uh, there's a back bit, that you can but your back on, and a couple of arm rests for, um, resting your arms. Then there's like 4 or 5 wheels and a lever that makes the seat-y bit go up and down.
Oh and it's black.
Does that help?
there are no good office chairs, they're all garbage. do yourself a favor and attach a set of wheels to a recliner, or just swivel in and out of your desk.
why are they garbage? it's simple. they don't allow you to move around and sit in various positions to the degree that a large recliner will. you can recline, but not completely. you can shift to the left or right, but you can't really shift onto your side. the arm rests are narrow and hard (yes, even the "soft-touch" plastic on your steelcase leap is hard) and hurt your elbows/forearms after awhile, whereas on a recliner you've got a good amount of padding to deal with.
most of all, the seat will support you better regardless of your weight. structured seating like the herman miller chairs or padding like the steelcase chairs have isn't sufficient for long-term seating no matter how much bullshit they try to sell you. you need a real support system with padding and springs to cushion you regardless of the position you're in.
i've had so many chairs, spent so much money buying the cheapest office depot garbage all the way up to leaps and freedoms, and they're all just fucking shit compared to a cheap recliner you can find at any furniture store. fuck your ergo bullshit.
I need to DYI what this bitch is doing.
It's probably not healthy to read/think in that position tho.
That's fine. Research does not support the use of exercise balls in office environments, anyway. Idiotic fad that needs to go away.
Best solution is Linus Torvalds solution
Treadmill desk master race.
I have one and it's pretty good. I can walk or jog for 6 hours without even realizing it. When I need to wait for something I can run faster or use weights to get a little more fit. You can buy a premade treadmill desk or make one yourself by strapping a plank to the handle bars like I did. Your body won't feel like shit like after sitting in the same spot for hours.
Torvalds gets it.
Fucking this. Got me one of pic related for a few bucks at a recycling center. Office chairs simply cannot into this level of comfyness.
something like this, don't need a desk to shitpost
Reminder that this is the only way to maintain good posture without putting stress on your joints while using the computer for long periods of time.
I really love this chair.
I can sit for hours without getting back pain. It has lots of adjustment options. I can recommend.
But its fucking expensive (around $1000)
That image and many like it were results of manufacturers cutting corners, and thus costing lives.
Steps were taken to introduce laws stating that gas-piston chairs had to have a metal plate thick enough to stop the piston should it fail.
I use this Office Depot chair. It's pretty nice. Got it on sale for $220 about a year ago.
I britain the legal limit is 12ft/lbs muzzle velocity. This is enough to kill someone should you hit them in the head.
So shooting someone in the ass with the same power is bound to do some damage.
That's not to say you can't get a more powerful spring/gas cannister and valve fitted to achieve more power though.
Probably referring to the Markus.
Did I do good, /g/?
got this yesterday, its gr8
