There's a difference between being expensive and being overpriced, Apple shit is the latter. There are many alternatives that are cheaper and there are also plenty that are more expensive, the thing is those alternatives are usually better value for money.

I could've bought a 5k iMac if I really wanted but instead I've got a desktop that performs much better (and will continue to do so into the future as I upgrade it further). I do actually have an iMac 5,2, the only reason I have it is because the piece of shit was going to be thrown away and I thought it'd be a fun toy to play with.

"AIO" computers are a gimmick rip off to begin with. Same with almost any 5k monitor. Enjoy a slightly higher resolution while being massively ripped off for a one up gimmick.

You can build your own computer and buy 2+ high quality 4k monitors, that's much more pixels / working space than one 5k monitor, or buy 120hz 1440p monitors. Either would cost half as much and be much better than a 5k imac.

The only actually impressive things you can own that make you look rich are cars and credit cards, because they are actually hard to obtain.
