I use mostly Linux, and keep around a Windows partition for vidya . I see nothing wrong with OSX, it's just not my cup of tea for whatever reason. I've tried it, and it didn't seem to offer any benefit I could personally take advantage of, since I'm already so used to Linux and Windows that ease of use doesn't matter. Whatever floats your boat, though.

I just got an MBA because I literally couldn't find anything else. Chromebooks look nice, but the ultraportable ones aren't available on my country yet, and Sony Vaio is kill so I couldn't find their ultrabooks either. There are some pretty light and thin Acer laptops, but reading reviews everyone complained about the touchpad and wifi, so I had to get an MBA, it was the only laptop that would last 10 hours and wouldn't break my back when I had it in my backpack.

Yeah, it's expensive, that's for sure, but it's easily the best quality laptop I've used, so I think it's worth it.

OSX is ok, looks less powerful than windows or linux, but performs better so I'm fine with it.
