>Having 36gb of ram when your load maxes out at around 8gb
>I know exactly what you use your computer for

If you guys ever want to make money, buy lots of one specific PC hardware and set fires to Taiwan.
>tfw have a 4690k with 8gb ultra fast gaymen ram desktop
>tfw have to deal with this when I'm outside
I really need to buy some ram.
>not using triple channel
If you think about it, life is really all about the have notting.
>Any video project beyond MyFirstSlideshow.mpg could easily eat up 8GB.
Not everyone is going to start editing videos on software worth a grand. You are describing like 3% of the computer user population.
cinelerra or kdenlive - foss, but pretty excellent linux video editors - will easily eat it up, especially if you use background rendering in cinelerra without having a render farm over network
Lol... at that much RAM chances are the Windows version itself might not support that much RAM.
Pretty sure Windows 7 Home Premium only supported up to 16GB... while professional was 64GB.
Not about the RAM limitations on Windows 8.
I can easily push past 8GB without trying. In fact, I recently upgraded my CPU, mobo and RAM but only got 8GB at the time rather than the 12GB like I had and I've found it restricting.
Got another 8GB arriving today with some luck.
I actually do need 12+
>needing more than 640k
>read google articles on RAM
>you need to upgrade to 8GB if you're doing heavy 4K video editing and photoshop
>chrome or firefox alone can easily go to 6GB
Fucking normies are stupid as fuck.
Not using laptop ram in your desktop.
>needing more than 2gigs
lol, do you also listen to music in pic related?
>tfw 4gb of ram
>tfw dont want to buy more ram because i know i'll upgrade to a ddr3 board eventually
i have a phenom II x6 which is still an amazing processor but the ram is hurting me..
My brother says his games were running slow and lagging. I told him it's his outdated GPU trying to run new games.
>I'll update my ram first
>n-no just update the card
>naaah, I think it's my ram
>get's new ram and still has same issues as before
;-; why do people not listen
>needing more than 1k of static RAM
>not just writing down 0/1 when you need to
>not using punching cards
>not punching the cards with your fists
>mfw my daily driver has 1GB RAM and I very rarely run out
>Windows 8.1 32 bits
How the hell can you be a Linux user and find Windows more useful than OS X? OS X does pretty much everything Linux can besides catering to freetards, meanwhile Windows can boot and that's about it.
I don't like the way OSX relies to much on the dock to launch apps. I prefer having a menu to find and launch apps to Apples iOS like menu which i find missplaced for a desktop OS. But i do like the fact that OSX uses bash
It doesn't rely on the dock, use Spotlight
Cmd+Space, T, return
Cmd+Space, O, return
You can use it to search for files and programs by content and metadata as well.
That just seems slow to be honest. I can use keyboard shortcuts to launch programs in Linux too. And manually searching for apps also seems slower than just using a traditional menu
