I don't know if you've noticed, but most of us on /g/ that push Linux use it because:
1. We love it. It's a more enjoyable computing experience for the technically minded
2. We're developers who use our computers for actual work. Although most the Linux devs I know keep a windows partition for gaming. However, work takes precedence and a "gaming partition" gets little use. Nobody actually likes using Windows for anything besides "Muh games".
Furthermore, anybody who has actual self-worth doesn't give a flying fuck what other people use. The fact that people like you base their worth on which OS, which phone, etc. is fucking sad. It's like elementary school where anyone who wore reebok instead of Nike got picked on. You're fucking pathetic.

install layman, layman -a qt && layman -a kde, emerge -auDN @kde-live-next

you'll have to manually step in and correct some dependency ordering at certain points in the install, kjs expects the kdoctools package to already be installed (which it isn't, so the compile errors out, so just one shot emerge kdoctools and then go back to compiling the main set), you have to do this one or two more times for different packages which is easy enough to figure out by reading the error.
