Hi /g/. possible stupid question. what is the most customizable user interface? i understand iOS isn't this of course, but when it comes to others, is there a difference between say, jelly bean and kitkat? im looking for my phone to just be blank black background with big colored dots as icons, no text to be found. minimal as possible. im also looking for a device that's small size, with decent internal storage and not fragile. any advice?

I got it on contract for $170, so it was worth it for me. Screen size is great for gaymin and media consumption.
The battery life isn't as big a concern as it would be for most phones, since it supports quick charge 2.0 and comes with a turbo charger in the box.
It would be nice if it had sd expansion, so I guess that is a con as well, but I don't have many reasons that I would need more than 32gb of storage besides music, and I have a dedicated music player for that anyways.

But, I assume the xperia has the playstation app? I haven't looked at it too much, I'd weigh the cost of the phone and whatever you're going to use it for, but I love my N6. Almost everyone I know says it's too large, though.

I've been using it for a couple months now as a daily driver. Nothing about it that I'd wish to trade. Like I said, I got it for an amazing price.

If you've held it and it was too big, then you may want to consider the sony. I thought it was huge at first, but after I had it for a few days I got used to it and I don't notice how large it is until I hold something smaller.

I like the swipe messaging when it works well. The double tap on and off is perfect for a phone of this size. Big display, solid battery life. Looks fucking nice as well.

Apple iPhone 6+

Like: It does everything I have wanted to on it, and it has done it supremely well. Beautiful screen, edge to edge glass over aluminum, solid buttons with a firm click, excellent sound output (the one speaker is great for a single speaker of the size, the microphone is top notch, and the headphone output is well powered and clear), great camera (for a phone). Internally the A8 is a generation ahead of anything else out there, and it shows, too.

Like: iOS's refinement and feel. 60fps, smooth scrolling, smooth movement between home screen pages, and pages on Safari and in GoodReader or Total Reader Pro. Well supported over the lifespan of the phone. And a great app ecosystem (for users and developers).

Dislike: Too thin, flat back, camera that juts out. Perhaps too much bezel. Too thin. A wider, curved back with thicker aluminum would allow for more rigidity and a better grip. And just as important, a bigger battery, even though the 6+ is not lacking in that department.

Dislike: I don't care about massive ricing or stupid looks over function minimalism, but some more freedom as far as interface refinement would be a godsend. User defined icon sets. Resizeable icons, and space managment like increasing rows/columns per home screen page, to allow for more icons per page, and more icons on the quick bar. User color themes would be nice too, or even just a day/night option.

Dislike: Some of the app store restrictions. Allowing 4chan viewers would be great, inline webms maybe (though I'm skeptical about their longevity, with other options coming out).

Dislike. 1GB of RAM. Yeah, IOS is WAAAAAY more efficient than Android as far as dealing with RAM goes, but it is NOT THAT FUCKING EFFICIENT. Give us 3GB in the 128GB option at least if you want to bleed our wallets dry that badly.

I may have more dislikes listed than likes, but for me, the likes are what it's all about, the dislikes are just minor nags. This phone is great!

Anyone with a Nexus 5 would say the same. It's kind of like the iPhone 4 to Nexus 4. All iPhone 4 users could've told Nexus 4 people a long ass time ago that glass backs suck ass. Likewise all Nexus 5 users could tell iPhone 6 users that the bulging camera and huge wafer-like design is kind of weird.

>Dislike. 1GB of RAM. Yeah, IOS is WAAAAAY more efficient than Android as far as dealing with RAM goes,
You overestimate iOS' RAM efficiency over Android. Random shit closing has been a perennial iOS complaint, not an Android one, even on product cycles with similar amounts of RAM.
