Enough with the phones and laptops threads.
Let's talk about drones.
Anyone own one? What's your experience?

wrecking your $3K toy
Got a Cheerson CX-10 nanocopter, I 3D-printed some longer levers for the remote
It was only $15 + some sets of extra rotors, I only broke a single rotor yet

lol
This is /g/. People on here can barely afford a $200 video card. You're asking about drones that cost several grands.

Can you actually see all that in real time?
Alright /g/, why are most consumer quadcoptoers referred to as "drones"? What makes a drone different than a quadcopter?
>>$4000
>>Can't fly over 400ft
no thanks
also, I don't what you would realistically use it for
>>46719791

>>46719728

They can fly over 400 ft trust me.
Its just if you do, and you hit an airplane or any other vehicle in the air, any damages from that, worst case a crash, is your fault and if it gets sucked into a jet engine and everyone on the plane dies you'd be summarily executed or at least jailed for 99 yrs.
The law exists to keep people from flying them in altitudes patrolled by other aircraft because you don't need a license or formal training to fly a drone. That's why they say, no fly over 400ft, its a preventative measure.
The drone itself, can fly over 400ft easily.
I can see this being something you buy and use a few times, then let it collect dust in the closet.
