I don't even know what that is please explain
It's the only game I can have fun at because its mindless grinding. Other games are too much work.
How do I get a fancy looking terminal.
What's the browser thing? Like where you mouse over 4chan and all the boards come down.
I agree. I keep buying them for some reason though and I really need to stop. Devoting myself to anime and reading now.
>I keep buying them myself for some reason and I really need to stop
Same. I bought about 6 games in the past two months worth nearly $100 and have only played them once or twice.
>Devoting myself to anime and reading now
I hate anime, but reading is cool.
Shits dumb. I don't want to throw them away or get rid of them either because I just like owning the hardware and having the boxes on my shelf. I bought 4 games yesterday because of the psvita sale they had going on. I just need to remove my credit card from everything
i prefer window titles on tint2 but icons are fine too. simple, good
nice WP and good tiny taskbar
you probably have fun hanging out on irc and diagnosing system failures
mine: proven winner idk why i'm doing this. probably just drunk
tiling WMs are way too differently abled who the fuck has time to cycle through 5 preset layouts just to check their email. even worse is programming 5 new preset layouts in fucking lua of all things.
you millenial kids need jobs
ok fair point i struggle with 20px @ 768 vert. but you have 2 screens at least, probably at least 10 screens on your battlestation.
maybe will buy 1600x900 when i can afford to waste money on a computer screen
Are you Noha/Kuro or someone else? Either way, this is the best.
Love the wall; those are great colors and you should incorporate them into your rice
Asking here because you guys usually know.
Are there any good tiling WMs for Wayland/Weston yet?
Better yet, is there any talk about porting Awesome? I know there is talk about rewriting i3.
I'm looking for some console and programming fonts that still look alright on a 1280x800 resolution, whilst preferably staying away from monospace. What do you use; have you any suggestions?
Is there any way of properly ricing OS X? I looked at the Moderator's post however it didn't really get me anywhere, so what is there to customise my Mac?
>kde, the slowest de
stop supporting xml usage
there is something wrong with it for me, probably that blinking things
it is pretty good, but
>antergos for kids
install linux it is pretty simple
classic lazy linux wallpaper
pretty cool actually, do you have any place for your homepage script?
ricing. you are doing it wrong
pretty lazy, but nice. maybe link wallpaper?>>46616616
I will not rate it
There is a way, but I haven't got into hackintosh so I won't tell.
it looks good. could you give me those comfy awesome settings or something?
>when gentoo moves to systemd it wont be pointless
Gentoo is a metadistrobution, I don't have systemd now and if the standard install moves to it it won't matter to anyone because you don't have to use it. Not that I think that will happen.
Oh well, how will it affect me and how does funtoo help? If a Gentoo based distro like funtoo can remove systemd so can any Gentoo user, or just choose to reject it from the start. After all Gentoo is all about choice. Any decision Gentoo devs make will affect Funtoo the same as any Gentoo users.
I know there's a script or a command to widen the command window so that text doesn't return to the next line, I think it's bundled in the FAQ of screenfetch. I'd check that out, my OCD-like tendency is taking over here
I'm still indecisive about wallpapers.
Improve fonts, colours arent great, the bottom bar is pretty bold.
May need some work in firefox, wallpaper doesnt match.
Not sure that the conky matches, perhaps add that stuff to your bar or something?
Nice, firefox could be touched up a bit.
May want to use firefox and not chromium for ricing, not sure I like the colours and wallpaper.
Nice, could make the 4chan css match?
Not sure about the wallpaper and font.
I'm not a fan of the font and transparent terms.
Nice, decent japanese rendering as well.
>May need some work in firefox, wallpaper doesnt match
Yeah I know, I thought the wallpaper was funny for a minute, then didn't bother changing it. But it's only been a couple days, and I've worked the whole time. We got our own snowmageddon here, ya know.
From this mornings feedback I have vastly improved my desktop, I just need to do some changes to my prompt. Please rate.
I just improved the status bar basically and I was messing around with MPD trying to get it to work. The vast improvement was basically my figuring out trying to customize i3status, realising that i3status can't customize the looks that well, so I had to learn a bit of conky and pipe conky into the i3bar.
Liking solarized colors is pretty up to you.
I love them.
I don't feel like super try hard rice to lose my favourite browser for sake of ricing. Also installed dwm now and I know feel that dwm>awesome,i3 other shit
What do you do, that calls for 8GBs of swap space?
I am not being judgemental when I ask, butt I have just never had a need for swap when building ever facet of my system from kernel to userspace applications with 8GBs RAM.
He's not controlling and I don't want to smoke it because I'll eat like a fat pig. I already gained 10kg compared to last year.
Thanks for that Anon, I will give it a try. I keep getting dependency errors saying that I need to downgrade Xorg. Jesus man, this will likely happen again even with that tutorial.
You might find it hard to believe, but this is seriously how the majority of /g/ feels. These are not all the same people posting. Windows seriously is a terrible OS, so bad infact that even mentioning it should get you permanently banned from /g/.
I totally agree, and I'm not the one that posted the Windows top. I just feel that you all got baited. Notice that I'm the one with the stupid name that I keep forgetting to take off.
>I don't like thing person enjoys
>that person should kill herself
I think you're the one who should consider suicide, especially since you've forgotten on what website you are.
I'm well aware of the consensus of hate for Windows, but it's currently the only system I can get running (with full driver support) on my legacy hardware. All the Linux distributions I've tried (quite a few) couldn't recognize my on-board audio, and some had issues recognizing other hardware on my system.
XP is secure enough with TrueCrypt, Pale Moon + NoScript, a decent router, software firewall and full-volume encryption. I just don't go around torrenting shit with keygens and viruses.
>but it's currently the only system I can get running (with full driver support) on my legacy hardware.
The problem isn't drivers, the problem is that you're retarded. There is no reason to use winblows botnet in 2015. winblows is not only a botnet, but is bloated beyond imagination. Using it is basically begging people to call you a retard.
Because of winblows the internet has become a cesspool of idiocy, faggotry and casuals who should not even be touching a computer in the first place.
>XP is secure enough
It really isn't.
>All the Linux distributions I've tried (quite a few) couldn't recognize my on-board audio
That's why you troubleshoot. Unless you have some extremely exotic audio hardware you should be able to have audio out.
>recognizing other hardware on my system.
Rename what files? What are you even asking me?
If you're talking about my reaction images I just name them when I save them.
I did troubleshoot. There just weren't any drivers for my hardware included with those distributions. I tried searching through their package databases for other audio drivers, but didn't find any. In some cases, the hardware did show up in ALSA mixer, but still wouldn't produce any sound output. (and no, the volume wasn't muted)
The only other hardware issues I've had were a lack of monitor or graphics support, or at least full feature support. One distribution locked my desktop at 1440x900 at 16k color depth and wouldn't support any other setting. Another wouldn't even open the settings panel because it couldn't recognize my monitor.
The computer I'm using is an old Gateway E4300 pulled from an office environment. The audio is some on-board Intel chip, but it shouldn't be anything particularly obscure.
The hardware in that computer should be supported. Your display issue might be an EDID issue if it's outputting the correct resolution. Did you at least try changing the color depth manually?
It's also worth asking if you actually installed Linux as opposed to just running it from a Live CD.
>just installed Fedora
This is nice, they have been working on this shit like it's the cure for cancer.
How do I make the firefox top bar look not shit? Everything else fits my theme except that.
macfags, macfags everywhere
Fiddling with Applescript to format the event summary to something a little more readable
You really should try watching an anime such as Code Geass.. I've recommended that anime to many people for their first anime and no one has rated it any lower than 9/10.
Anime just gets a really bad reputation due to the fan base but the plots are some of the best i've ever seen compared to western TV/Films.
But if you think about it this way.. You have basement dwellers who waste their lives away doing nothing but watching anime.
They may be degenerates but they are good at knowing how to waste their time on a computer. It's always good to trust the professionals when it comes to what a certain person does for a living.
Maybe the basement dwellers have it right.. ha
well. i am a 31 one year old father. i grew up with project-ako and a few others. i just can't handle cheesy shit . too old. but i know ther ei smore mature stuff. I do want my daughter to watch though. she is 2 and I already have Arch on her computer heh.
But yeah. I don't hate anime . Much respect for it. Just some of it is too cheesy and just lame
Just downloaded Antergos this morning. Turned my Macbook into something much nicer in my opinion. I like being able to change things. It makes me feel like I'm home on my desktop instead of far away on laptop
>how do i get a fancy looking terminal
There are different programs on arch's repositories that generate system info and the logo, the one I use is archey3, which is on the AUR i believe.
>how do i get a fancy looking terminal
Do you know how to use a terminal emulator? If so, do you see the command they ran to get the fancy terminal stuff? If so, why the fuck aren't you googling or searching the archives for the command?
