This is relevant to my interests. The T440s is probably one of the best modern professional ultrabooks. If they fix the fucking trackpad and keyboard lay-out, then the T450s will be my next work notebook.

You can expect the *50 series in the near future

General consensus is that *40 series are unfavorable chinkpads with their lack of trackpoint buttons and the other fuckups chinkpads have, avoid buying new unless it's sponsored.

However, the *50 series seem to be heading back in the right direction so they MIGHT unfuck the keyboard eventually

What's wrong with the hinges? They're still metal and the i beam type hinges aren't as important anymore since the lids are a lot lighter.

I got an unused T-Mobile sim card. Can I plug it into my x200 tablet and utilize the wwlan? Anyone done this before? If so, what I must do to make it happen?

I'm just a fool for 4:3, don't do any intensive processing on the go, and am a total jew about spending shekels on technology.

I own a t420 and its a great laptop but even then compared to the true pre-Lenovo IBM thinkpads the quality isn't as great. I tried the t440s and the trackpad is awful. I had never before tried such a shitty trackpad in my life. It was mushy and inaccurate. I don't hold out much hope for a "good" thinkpad anymore and have since switched to a rMBP.

I need some help guys.

I just reinstalled Windows 7 on my X230 for the first time time about 2 years and I can not for the life of me get the wifi working. It's as if I have not wireless network adapter or driver.

>tried installing all three of the provided drivers from lenovo
>my wireless switch is on
>ethernet works
>there are networks in range (not that I can see them though)
>chipset drivers are installed
>no setting to disable wireless in the bios

Any ideas how I can fix this? I installed the appropriate Intel wireless driver just like I did when I got this laptop new but it doesn't work this time for some reason.

The utilities are clearly disclosed in the list and you can opt out of their install. You can also hide those options you don't want so they don't appear agian.
