>>
>>45641105

Agreed.

Tien was the most powerful
Human
Opera is the hero /g/ doesn't deserve but the one that it needs right now
>>
>>45641085
GNU stole Debian's default browser and renamed it IceCat? How rude of them.
>>

Chrome Canary is 64 bit but it crashes often for me. Specially on Facebook.
>>
not one reason for something like a web browser to need 64 bit
>>
>>45641216
You take the time to avoid normal Chrome but then go ahead and use Facebook?
>>
>>45641201
firefox for windows is still 32-bit. It is 64-bit if you are running it on linux though.
>>
So Firefox?
>>
Nightly x64 works just fine, when it's not adding stupid superfluous features we don't need and slowing itself down.

Chromium, possibly.
>>
>>45641235
Why would anyone in their right mind still run an operating system that thinks mixing architectures is fine?
>>

because that operating system actually has programs to run, program people actually use so there needs to be some level of compatibility.

not everything is written in fucking assembly
>>
>>45641235
You can get Nightly x64 on Windows you know.
>>
>>45641128
Operafags butthurt all their features that can be found in other browsers got lost.
Just ignore the Opera tears
>>
>>45641265
All that just sounds stupid.
>>
So while we are discussing privacy and web browsers - what is your choice of addons/extensions etc?

Personally I use the following;

ABP+ with Fanboy's List
Disconnect
Blur(Formerly DoNotTrackMe)
HTTPS Everywhere
IBA Opt-out (by Google)
Keep My Opt-Outs
Protect My Choices
>>
>>45641044
/g/ would it be feasible for me to write a personal browser? I have a solid programming background but it seams like a big project.
>>
>>45641390

If you possessed the ability, why not? Just make it compaitable with a few privacy addons or include them in the browser.

Make it light and efficient.

Personally all I want from a web browser is the following;

Bookmarks
Tabs
Option to save passwords
Privacy options
Open source
Preferably 64bit
Simple GUI
>>
>>45641390
Why doesn't /g/ build their own browser? I'll design the logo.
>>
>>45641444
>I'll design the one thing that doesn't need actual programming skill
>>
>>45641481
>what is /g/?
>>
>>45641444

I'll be the ideas guy!
>>
>>45641430
The only parts I'm tripping out on are page rendering and javascript interpretation.
>>
>>45641553

I hope you make it, anon. Keep it to yourself and be free of everything!
>>
>>45641553
If you want a browser that's safe and fast, you'll have to throw JS in the trash.
>>
>>45641588
Or just have an option to disable it. Like it or not, javascript is a pretty big part of how web pages are displayed now and its not gonna go anywhere anytime soon.
>>
>>45641588
rms please.
>>
>>45641588

Interesting...

Tell me, what is a good addon to help with JS?
>>
>>45641688
NoScript for Firefox, ScriptWeeder for Opera
>>
>>45641044
