after you get blank screen in your install gui dont close it and go to temp folder in AppData\Local\Temp and find vmware_xxxxxxxxx and then run vmwareworkstation.msi from command line with argument EULAS_AGREED=1 grats on your workstation 11

the last few time i used vmware it was an all around pain in the ass especially with multi floppy disk installs but any sort of disk image swapping took so much futzing around the interface it could drive a man to drink plus recycling an old VM becomes an exercise in frustration
