Have anyone seen what's in the package?
I'm really interested in buying one of these (thanks OP)

No usb3 or sata
>>
>35$
Did you kids even go to school? Did they not teach you anything? Jesus fucking shitchrist.

It's $35. Dollar sign goes in front. No, it isn't pronounced that way. Doesn't fucking matter. Now fuck off and go back to school until you learn basic goddamn rules of writing, you little snotnosed shits.

Who cares. The people that make the RPi are a nonprofit.

I isn't 'murifat.:)
>>
holy shit i never knew putting $ after the number was a shibboleth of yurocuckoldry

Why don't you ameridub also Go 500 instead of 500 Go ?

>could build a PC at that price that could do most of the jobs this thing does
>>
>>45604576
I'd rather read it as 35 dollars than dollars 35
why are 'murifats so retarded?
>>
>>45604632
>every accessory sold separately including power cord
The Raspberry Pi was literally the same thing.
>>
>>45604632

Last I checked, rpi didn't come with any accessories either though.
>>
>>45604691
Same reason they still have imperial and Fahrenheit. Gotta be that special snowflake and pretend they still matter.
>>
>>45604368
You can run wayland with libhybris :)
>>
>>45604344
I wonder if that thing would work with all the cheap rPi / Arduino accessories you can find on chinese electronic websites.

no usb 3.0
>>

Why would you use a slow gnu driver when libhybris gives you full hw acceleration with the nonethical driver
>>
who was the genius who decided to use python on media centers? the addons are slow as fuck

I'd want to get it over a RasPi, but the only audio/video output it has is HDMI. The project I want to use one on requires a composite RCA jack and a 3.5mm jack, which the ODROID-C1 does not have. Using HDMI or any solution would use too much space/be too expensive for what I had in mind.
>>
No support
No good documentation
>>
>>45604560
The people who make RPi also apparently have some really toxic political views which makes me regret having ever supported them
>>
>>45604632
You should have everything required already.

>>45604950
These
>>
>ODROID-C1 power must be supplied via DC-Jack. Micro-USB port is only for data communication. So you need a proper power supply.
Well that jacks up another 6$ to the price, Plus a microSD or eMMC and MiniHDMI if you don't have one and a case if you don't wanna make your own..
>>
>>45605016
the DC jack is 5 volts.
Buy a plug from ebay for 0.50$ and solder it to a usb cord.
Or just buy one directly
>>
>>45604388
last commit 2013-03-18. yeah have fun with that. there is no other options than libhybris half broken junk. it's as always: graphics on linux is a nightmare if you have to rely on the manufacturer. and the more exotic it is, the worse it gets
>>
>>45604691
If you want a historical reason, it's because the symbol for a cent (¢) comes *after* the number. The only way one could use both symbols ($10.47¢, for instance) is if the two symbols are on separate ends. It also makes which unit is being spoken of more clear even if only one symbol is used.

The other reason commonly cited is that it's harder to forge a check (say from $20 to $320) when the currency sign is in front while the same would be trivial if it came after.
>>
>>45604632
power supply costs $1.30, but I could just run it off my PoE switch for a few cents worth of cable and 5 minutes of my time
sd card costs about two dollars, you don't need a big one.

I don't understand what other accessories you would need. You can't even buy a decent ATX powersupply for 40 dollars, no way you could build a full ATX PC for the price of an odroid.
>>
>>45604937
Banana pi, or get a raspi model B instead of a B+
>>

Yes, sure, it handles everything I've thrown at it.
Even games (if they run under Linux and ARM, that is)

Holy shit how are you still not getting this? The Raspberry Pi isn't popular because it's cheap - it's popular because it's common. Because it got to the top of the mountain first and people don't need more than one piece-of-shit mini computer in their home.
