How can I make a 970 work in a mini-ITX build? Also, what's the least coil-whine 970 version available?

Uhm... you just get the GPU and put it into your Mini-ITX case?
>>

Why do people like that fat ugly kike?
>>

but brah that card gets pre long. I'm wondering if it's worth it to go mini-ITX or if I should step down to micro-ATX
>>
you get the little 970.

There's a version of the 970 for mATX builds

This. It's dinky.

Full size GPU's fit in nearly all Mini-ITX cases just fine.

Pic related is what i use.

But as other anons said, there is a mini-sized GTX 970, which will help keep your build less cluttered.

Anyway, i would reccomend going Micro-ATX. Cable management can be REALLY FUCKING SUCKY in Mini-ITX unless you're really experienced with it.

My case looks like shit on the inside. Cant wait to upgrade to a bigger case.
>>
>>45429096
Do you use a full size card in your setup? How hot does it run under load?
>>
>>45428954
It depends on the size and layout of the case. Do your research.
>>
>>45429096

How does this not become a small furnace with all that shit so close together?

Temps are all fine. The case has satisfactory airflow. I never OC'd it or anything though.

In the end - if you dont plan on moving your PC around constantly, dont get Mini-ITX.

The biggest problem is that the cables that come with PSU are about 2-3x longer than they'd need to be. As a result, your tiny case ends up stuffed full of cables.

Also, YOU MUST HAVE A FULLY MODULAR PSU!!!!!! When i first built this, i used a shitty non-modular PSU, and i spent a solid 2 hours trying to cram the excess cables into empty HDD slots so i could get the case closed.

Ty for your input will probably move up towards mATX

You're welcome :) enjoy your new build!
