Sure. I think the first thing I did was disable my lockscreen when my phone connected to my home wifi.
Here's a list anyway:

The possibilities are endless. You can even do things like a stolen phone locator - when the phone receives a certain SMS message it changes the passcode, takes a picture with the front/back camera, gets GPS co-ords and emails all the data to an address.

A lot of what you can do with Tasker there are certain apps for, but I love being able to do it all from within one app, and just enable/disable the 'profiles' as I like.
