It is not that hard

Use Firefox, any version from 21-27. Then use this: http://www.leavegooglebehind.com/how-tos/how-to-eradicate-google-from-firefox/ -- except use "startpage.com" instead of Bing or the former Scroogle. Optionally get these add-ons: Noscript, Adblock Edge, HTTPS Everywhere, Cookie Controller, Blender and Better Privacy.

I like Naked Browser on Android, that's cool. Older versions of Opera are also neat.

You don't need the Play Store, use F-Droid. Enable the setting that allows you to install any APK you want in the Android settings and go get F-Droid.

Use Youtube. Cookie Controller and Better Privacy will cover you well with that. Also don't use a Google Account at all, no point.

Look up how to root your SGS4, I don't know how tricky it will be. Some devices are tricky, but others, like Nexus devices, aren't. After that, you can use "AFwall+" from F-droid to have a whitelist Firewall which means you choose what gets to connect to the internet. Also, use "root cleaner", which you can get from TPB, to uninstall applications that can't usually be installed if you don't want to see them on your system. If you're okay with them being there, they shouldn't be a threat, what with AFwall+.
