Yeah, you can. I procured a box at the same time I got the printer, but I'm totally drawing a blank as to where I bought it. I THINK I had to order it online from Amazon, but it was a huge box that'll probably last me several years.
In any case, the ImageWriter uses regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper (which actually tends to be listed as "9 x 11" or something like that because it includes the feeder holes on both sides that you tear off after printing), which was pretty much the "standard issue" dot-matrix printer paper, so while you'll have to pay more today than back in the day since there's less of it being produced, it's still out there, at least for now.
(Also, like modern printers, you can adjust the guides to take thinner paper widths, like if you wanted to print postcards or something, but 8.5/9 is about as wide as it can handle.)

It'll work, but there's two problems:

1) You have to feed it one page at a time. It's a massive pain in the ass to print page 1, have everything grind to a halt, insert one sheet of paper and print page 2, etc.

2) The ImageWriter II feeder doesn't work all that well. Half the time it feeds the paper in a bit sideways and then starts printing at a 20-degree angle before you can even hit the pause button, or pulls the sheet in too far and then ends up printing off the bottom of the page, shit like that. Apple made a big bulky sheet feeder that you could insert on top of the printer that would allow it to actually handle a few dozen sheets of paper at a time like today's printers, but it was rather expensive so I never owned one, and as I recall it wasn't exactly known for its reliability either.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that part. I had to buy an adapter to make it work with a modern Mac, and also, no recent version of OS X comes with ImageWriter drivers, so you have to hack it to make it work, and even then the print quality isn't quite what you used to get back in the day. I'm planning on eventually pulling either my G4 lampshade iMac or G3 Bondi iMac out of the closet and just using the ImageWriter with it.

Still looking for the HP OmniBook 300/430 after a few years, still not one found.

Made by the legendary HP calculator division, it was super durable, came with a 386SLC or 486SLC, ran off PC Card Storage and up to 8-9 hours battery life from 4 AA batteries. Consideration, should we remove "Tolerated, but discouraged" as a section?. I'm not strongly for the idea, nor against it, it just came to mind.

A consideration would be to modify it to emphasise Retro-console hardware (as the story of all the chips in the SNES, cool programming tricks on the 2600, etc, could be interesting.) over "I have a pac-man cartridge, lol that port sucked".

I mean it's harmless to keep since I don't remember a single console post anyway. Just a consideration.

The Brits were obsessed with tape drives and used them long after they were considered obsolete. I had a Datasette for a VIC20 but never used after I got the 64 and I don't ever remember even seeing 64/128 software on cassette in the US.

That was before my microcomputing time. I believe I got the VIC20 used from a classmate around 86 or so, and the 64 in 87 or 88. Pic related is the only commercial software I ever had on Datasette. I remember using NT 4 in the early 2000s when all I could use as a computer was an HP Brio. I was given a Windows NT 4 disk after a friend's father had upgraded his computers for Windows 2000 and didn't need them anymore so like the poorfag teenager I was used it religiously until I could get a more modern desktop. Ever since experiencing how stable it was I never found a reason to go back to the 9x line as NT was able to handle the programs I used on it despite half of it being DOS-based.

I still have that Brio and NT 4 disk, I used it recently to setup an emulator.

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this, but here I go. The oldest machine I have right now is a Pentium 3 Compaq Ipaq desktop with an i815 chipset. It's a sff with no expansion slots for graphics or sound cards. I recently installed Windows 98SE and all drivers. The HP Brio was a small form factor desktop aimed at the casual computer market. It usually came with an Intel Celeron and the bare minimum of memory. All it was good for was using Office (Word processing, spreadsheets, ect), e-mail/internet, light gaming and anything of the sort.

The model I had specifically was a BA400. If I recall correctly it used a Celeron 500 and had 64MB of RAM (Which I upgraded to 256MB when PC66 RAM dropped heavily in price) and a 10GB HDD. Despite it's limitations I loved using it and had no problems whatsoever (Thanks to NT 4). I will get it out when I have the time tomorrow. It's hard to find good pictures of it so here is what I could find.

That's what I'd do with it. Looks like the k6-2 cpus are pretty compatible when it comes to game. It can be underclocked easily, so they have great compatibility with older speed sensitive games. Quake and Doom have no trouble with fast computers tho.

Should be decent enough for later Win9x games too.
