It's that time again.
wow, that looks really nice. its clean and simple. 9/10
you should probably do that update... but nevertheless, 6-7/10
>gs5, just got it yesterday
>gel icon pack
>super simple digital clock
>still trying to find a better wallpaper, though I do like this one
I'll rate in my next post.
11/10 beautiful and perfection.
7/10, clock is too bright against background and icons look out of place to me. Also you should install that update.
3/10, way too busy and cluttered looking and your icons aren't centered.
I like your work OP.
Mine is a work in progress, I haven't updated it in months..
There you go
What do you want to know?
An icon pack is the start of ricing, keep going
If you like it that's up to you, I'm not a huge fan but I appreciate that its all thought out
Simple and nice, if it were me I'd remake that clock widget
>Le sexy iPhone
Android L master race checking in
7/10 - Doesn't make that much use of the screen realestate.
It looks like 90% of the homescreens on here, but still nice. If you got rid of the taskbar it would be 8/10
Pretty ugly, but the theme is extremely consistent so it comes down to personal taste. 9/10
The low res icons aren't doing you any favours. 7.5/10
9/10 love it.
The low resolution of your entire widget set up really takes away from the look. 6/10
Looks clean, intuitive and easy to use. You get shit done. The only suggestion is making the nav buttons transparent. 9.9/10
Is Android L good? What does it offer?
>What does it offer
Visual overhaul of quite some things (recent apps, notifications&quick settings, notifications on the lock screen, and a lot more you can see on the internet)
Thanks to the auto rotate toggle being in the quick settings now, I'm not missing much from custom ROMs.
I looks ok on my phone.. But now that you mention it I first created it on my RAZR with way lower resolution than my S3. I'll recreate it and see if that fixes the problem, Any other suggestion??
>>43140556 Nice and clean.
>>43142251 I'm always impressed when I see how an iPhone can look with right ricing tools.
>>43142555 Nice font. How did you get it?
I'm a beginner, please be gentle.
Finally got around to rooting and getting rid of that navbar for pie controls. Rates later
8/10 looks really good, clock is a bit too small for my taste.
7.6/10 looks okay, I'm liking the clock, but your icons don't match up with the rest of the theme.
8/10 liking the minimalist approach, icons look a bit wacky though.
If this is an iPhone then 9/10, if not then 7/10
7/10 Google bar us ugly and wallpaper makes me think that you're French. I like the icons though.
10/10 just as good as OP's.
Basically looks like stock iPhone to me. 3/10
Mine is pretty much the opposite of exciting. It does what i want and stays out of my way
Moto /g/, just got it a few weeks ago, very happy with the device.
I've done barely anything with the homescreen due to lack of time, but any advice or calification will be appreciated, thanks.
8/10 icons are a little bright against the background, but it looks nice.
8.5/10 love the function over form thing
8/10 looks okay except the wallpaper is too light up against the notification bar
5/10 the icons are stupid in that layout
7.9/10 looks good, nice and minimal but to the point where it's plain and boring
7/10, move everything at the bottom down a bit more, or just the icons.
6/10, clear notifications for screenshots, get rid of shadows, use stock statusbar icons
2.5/10 start over
5/10, keep the placement and wallpaper but get better icons and widgets, or just an artsier font
7/10, not the biggest fan of the icons but they're not bad. Get rid of the reflections on the dock if you can
>shitty widgets that can be made yourself
There you go, 95% of the responses
9/10, try to find a really excellent wallpaper. That widget is incredible. What font do you use?
6/10, make your navbar transparent, shrink your calendar and feed widgets a bit to giver them more space at the edges, try a different/less bold font for your clock
3.5/10, get rid of icon labels, use a more colorful wallpaper or less colorful icons, use a less boring clock or just get rid of the shadows around the edges, get rid of your statusbar clock, get rid of the numbers in your battery indicator and get rid of the 3g icon
8/10, nothing to change.
6.5/10, even though Lucid Rounds is my favorite icon set I don't think they match here. Try a plain white set. Move your widget up some, make your icon grid less short and wide, and get rid of shadows.
4.5/10, get a complete icon set and a less boring wallpaper, make your navbar transparent and use the stock icons
7/10, nothing to change. Maybe your wallpaper could be more interesting
2.5/10 start over
not him, but nova, power toggles, and I think Click UI
show all of your pages and get a better wallpaper
Also, do something
3/10, get rid of shadows, get a less busy wallpaper so you can actually see your stuff and get a less boring clock. Put your clock at the top
5.5/10, make everything at the bottom bigger, see if you can make the icons line up with the navbar icons, get rid of shadows, clear notifications for screenshots and use the stock statusbar icons. Try a less boring clock
5/10, get rid of shadows, put icons in a centered grid and get a better icon set that's complete and matches, make your statusbar a different color and use the stock battery indicator, clear notifications for screenshots
4/10, use a less minimal icon set that's complete and put them in a grid, get rid of shadows and center clock, clear notifications for screenshots
6/10, use a less boring font for your clock, get rid of shadows, and use a more interesting wallpaper.
is the time, date, app notifications and the line in the middle all zooper widgets? if not (or if so) can you tell me how I can get a set up like that or hook me up with your template?
>5.5/10, make everything at the bottom bigger, see if you can >make the icons line up with the navbar icons, get rid of >shadows, clear notifications for screenshots and use the stock >statusbar icons. Try a less boring clock
I don't like everything at the bottom any bigger. I adjusted it pixel by pixel until it "felt" perfect for how i use my phone. I would like to get the dock and navbar icons to line up though, that's something I'm messing with a lot in my free time. Not sure what shadows and notifications you're referring to, as i see neither. The status bar flat icons from Flux are one of my primary attractions to the theme as well as the dialer and keyboard theming so I'll probably leave those too.
Overall though, i appreciate that you know how to give constructive criticism rather than being a cunt.
lg g2, bought today . r8 pls
GETTIN MINE BABY GOTTA LET THESE NIGGAS KNOOOOOW
I don't really know what you mean, but put the file in /sdcard/UltimateCustomClockWidget/
>terrible and ugly
On second thought, could you upload those for me? I can't find them for free.
Looking for advice on colors and shit
shit nigger what are you doing
I used the Android L preview for a couple weeks and I wasn't impressed with the UI. The status bar clock font is worse than in KitKat and I don't like the navigation buttons. I'm not in love with the notification shade either. Really once the novelty of new Android wears off, it feels like an amateur iOS theme. I hope they make some huge changes before the final release.
I'm so fucking sick of this phone. My plan was to wait until September and try to stick it out for either the Galaxy F/Note 4 or the Xperia Z3. But I hate this phone more every goddamn minute I'm stuck with is.
I'm half contemplating just picking up an LG G3 right now instead. I just worry that the 801 can't handle everything at 1440p, and the overheating worries me.
I have an LG G3 right now and surprisingly it handles everything well, I will admit that it does get a bit hot when running demanding programs, but nothing to worry about. Its mostly shills telling you to not buy 1440p, its all personal preference as I love it.
see >>43159445 for my home screen.
I've tried doing something before, but I just don't use my phone for anything other than emergencies.
Why do you fags use themes? They feel so unnatural. They're pretty to see a screenshot of but in reality they're not very efficient.
it's the shitty stock launcher, the second I switched to nova it was smooth. Plus all the bloatware can contribute too, but if you plan on rooting you should be fine, if you don't just worry about the launcher, either fix works.
Nothing new here. Shinobu is still being cute.
Shitty iPhone 4S. You can understand why I'm eager to leave.
I've read a lot of reviews and XDA posts where people complain about the overall lag and frame rate drops in games, not to mention the overheating and screen over sharpening effect on text. Of course, almost all of that is fixable with root via xposed mods or kernel tweaking, but the point is that you shouldn't HAVE to start messing with root to make a phone useable.
Of course, coming from an iPhone that required jailbreaking and a whole slew of mods to even come close to the functionality of Android (with even less stability) means that I'm not one to talk. And the G3 is still my favorite phone out right now.
But that Z3 looks niiiiiiiiice.
Well I came from the 4s to the g3, see>>43156974
and I gotta say the differences between the two devices are overwhelming. I sort of miss the premium feel of an iPhone. But the performance of the g3 is really amazing. Once you put nova launcher on it really flies.
I also had verizon so my choice in phones was pretty limited. No xperia, nexus, 1+1, oppo, etc.
>How to you get those side bar drawers?
UCCW Black Rectangle and icons on top
Wipe page animation in Nova to make it look like they slide out
>also how did you get the messaging phone and gmail icon so close to the widget?
I didn't know there was anything preventing you normally...
Maybe there's an overlap option in Nova or something that I enabled
No clue what you mean but okay
this would be awesome if the icons looked better
Pure stock Nexus 5, nothing special
Need a new clock any suggestions?
Been using DIGI alarm clock which is great but I don't like how you can't choose alignment for the various fields, also had it centralised at the top but it gets in the way of may even new wallpaper
Yup, my notifications sound is the power rangers communicator beep and my Ringtone is the theme song oh and this image is my lockscreen... Which might be cool if I wasn't 32.
Rate and hate. I want to make it better.
cute but i'd still try to experiment with scale with the clock
i get what you're trying to do but i think its poorly executed. try a better font.
any suggestions for a better homescreen? this is the only page I have
ROM: Paranoid Saberdroid
i love this but you need to find a font that isn't complete shit.
I have remade my homescreen yet again
I borrowed my layout from one of you guys. Just changed around the stuff I didn't like.
Still the same with a few changes.
Home screen 1/2
2nd screen 2/2
First time installing a custom ROM, leaving stock feels nice. Just got done setting it up but haven't really customized it yet.
just got it yesterday so I haven't done too much.
Way too cluttered. Get a wallpaper and remove the top Google search bar.
Good music taste though.
Not a fan of Windows Phone, but at least you put effort into ricing it. I would change the background of the tiles to something different.
Pretty neat, but I would decrease the saturation of the red color.
Not a fan of the icons. Other then that there is not much there. Update to Android 4.4 so the statusbar icons will look better or use a custom rom that lets you change the color.
Appdrawer icon doesn't fit the rest since it doesn't have a long drop shadow like the rest. Get a better font for the widgets. Not much there.
I would stick to one icon pack for consistency sake.
You don't need a widget to tell you that.
The white contrasts too much with the dark background.
Not a fan of the big date.
I can see that. I suggest you root it, unlock bootloader and look into custom roms and kernels. After that you can rice away.
>giving a fuck about the ui
I'm running a setup pretty much identical to the guy you're replying to, except without clover on the homescreen, so pure stock.
I'm running it mainly because it almost doubles my battery life, and eliminates wakelocks even with fb, whatsapp, steam, google now and location enabled.
If it really bothers you that much just wait a couple of months, on release you'd have a gorillion modders just itching to tinker with it and throw every feature known to man on it, including the cm themer, which will fix your so called problem.
