That wasn't investigative journalism, it was deceit (she contacted him under false pretenses in the first place), then harassment (by phone and email, and then in person), trespassing (uninvited on his property), and stalking (I mean, really?) all rolled together in a rather disgusting shameful piece of haphazard writing.

If I were Nakamoto, I'd probably dump a few Bitcoins and pay someone to set that person straight in some respects.

Screw you, you can't have it both ways.

You know who probably does know a lot about Satoshi? Karples,

He registered Bitcoin.com 8 years before Satoshi published his piece about bitcoins and 9 years before the first bit coin client even came to be. You can't convince me these two are not in bed with eachother.

>From that moment, Satoshi Nakamoto stopped responding to emails and dropped off the map.

This article does a great job at making him sound like some miraculous mysterious Batman almost to the point that it sounds like it was written by Satoshi himself. You aren't that intelligent and anonymous when a news reporter can just find out where you live like that.

Clearly these guy has enough open chinks in his "armour" that with a single right lead even a /b/tard could dox him.

That's bitcoins.com, not bitcoin, and it was registered at the height of the dotcom bubble, probably by some domain squatter.
The only thing that whois proves is that Karpeles has owned the domain since at least September 2013, well after the peak of MtGox's relevance to Bitcoin.

https://bitcoin.org/en/faq#is-bitcoin-anonymous

Is Bitcoin anonymous?

Bitcoin is designed to allow its users to send and receive payments with an acceptable level of privacy as well as any other form of money. However, Bitcoin is not anonymous and cannot offer the same level of privacy as cash. The use of Bitcoin leaves extensive public records. Various mechanisms exist to protect users' privacy, and more are in development. However, there is still work to be done before these features are used correctly by most Bitcoin users.

Nobody even knows if he has the keys to it anymore, its all speculation, not only that but he cant do anything with it in the first place- a withdraw of that amount of btc would not only be impossible but if it were it would cause bitcoin to collapse entirely.

The mans not a genius, He didn't bother thinking things through. He destroyed himself with his own invention.

He only cared about being able to buy trains more easily, not about having a decentralized cryptographic currency that would make the world better, but fucking trains. The moment someone realized the implications of BTC he took his ball and went home without realizing that the damage had already been done.

Sure he can.

He can exchange several thousand continuously over a long period of time.

He can trade it for whatever on SilkRoad or any of the other black markets.

He can go to any of the auto dealerships that are accepting Bitcoin and walk away with a new car.

He can go to any of the ATMs accepting bitcoin and withdraw smaller amounts for any purpose ad infinitum.

It's not instantly worth $400M in liquid cash but its not worthless either. It's worth a lot, certainly several times more than people have been killed over.

There was no need to give the world his address or even country. The bitch who outed him isn't a journalist, she's just a click-bait whore for news week.

A man spends his free time creating something new and fun and you *despise* him for it? You would dictate what other people find valuable? And, destroyed himself? He certainly seems alive and well and he hasn't done anything illegal in the course of his activities.

Newsflash: you don't create things like this, or anything for that matter, by making world-spanning plans and then filling in the gaps. You do it by sitting down and making things for petty reasons or just because you feel like it.

If I didn't know better I'd say you were jealous of him.

This is just speculation. A guy at the Bitcoin Foundation said the existing codebase looked like a few years of work; psycho bitch extraplated that to match Dorian's contract expiration.

It means that either satoshi decided to break his silence for the sake of a sick old man.

All the evidence is circumstancial, this is a case of a liberal arts major taking anecdote from a family member as fact and equating "FAA engineer" with "cryptographer with massive domain experience."
