Not for browsers and games that don't have shortcut-keys for everything. But my window manager and vim supports full key usage.

I'm not going to go out of my way to not use my mouse when it's not convenient just to be 'cool'.

well I haven't given up mouse, but I never use my external one anymore.

I feel more comfortable using the touchpad. I don't get why some people buy external mice and hook them up to their laptops. touchpads are glorious if you get used to them.

I, too, got it for free. I really hate how shallow the keys are, how hot it gets (idling at 50 degrees C), I really despise the trackpad, and let's not even get me started on OSX.

A touchscreen isn't good for a desktop PC and a trackpad isn't as good for playing FPS games with.
