As soon as a buy a new phone i buy a case but i end up wearing it for a week then taking it off

i like rugged look and the stand is pretty cool
This is my first post ever on /g/, hello from /b/. So I've been programming a game in Java on my phone for about, oh, 2 1/2 months now. It's 3658 lines now, and it's simply a text-based, command prompt RPG featuring a store, quest line (9 total bosses), and is a 6x6 grid of 36 different areas. The goal is to find the Catacanook Treasure, and there are different classes to choose from as well as a newly added tutorial.
Here is the link to my game in a zipped folder on Dropbox with a .png map and a README text file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/jnqe5hswkl016py/Catacanook%20Adventure%20Game%20v1.1.zip?dl=0
I really need some feedback on how to improve the clarity of the game. Also if anyone would like to help with graphics, that would be great.
The app I code with is a Java IDE on the App Store named "Pico Compiler", which allows internal copy/paste but not pasting from external sources. Thus, until another Java Compiling app comes up for iPhone, there's no way to play on iPhone. However, android has an app called "AIDE" which will be able to compile and run the game's source code. If you need the source code, here is a link:
http://pastebin.com/TCQwZ7Re
On Android, you want to copy the entire source code, open up AIDE, click the button in the bottom right of your screen, New Project, Java, Java Project, name it "AdventureGame" (I'm not sure if you can name it anything else, but if you can, let me know), delete the stock text in the project, and paste in the source code. To play, hit the Play button on the top right.
Picture is relevant, map for the game.

I seriously doubt I would EVER put this much time and effort into a bait if it was a bait. Like, you're way more than welcome to open the Launch.bat in a text file and see that it's literally just the command necessary to run the .jar in a command prompt window.
I just want to change my wallpaper is that too much to ask?

Because he stands up for what he believes in. Even if that means standing up for a lost cause.
He reminds us that no matter how pointless or stupid our lives seem to others they still merit value and that we should strive to achieve our goals and dreams even if that means watching chinese cartoons and installing gentoo all day long.
What's your designated OOP IDE?
It's hard to beat Visual Stupido, especially when it comes to debugging, but a couple of others give it the good ol' college try. I used Eclipse a fair bit a couple of years back and was surprised.

PyCharm for Python
IntelliJ IDEA for Android development
Visual Studio Code for everything else

Had an idea for a water cooling loop that links into your house's piping system to deliver cold water from the underground, flow it over all the water blocks in the computer, and the hot water would pass into the sewage system (or the hot water heater) where it's someone else's problem. Please lack of artistic skills.
>no pump required, water pressure from plumbing circulates water
>no radiators required
>no fans required (motherboard chipsets could simply have heatsinks swapped for larger ones that can be passively cooled)
>no noise (except HDDs and water flow)
>cold inlet water from underground
>heat carried out of house, not recirculated back into room
Great idea until the utilities get shut off because someone at the water company thinks you've gone on vacation and left your hose running.
How much will this raise my water bill?
Have your loop sit between your water heater and your pipes, then it just closes the loop when you're not filling the hot water tank.

You can't make this shit up anymore, why didn't they solder the IHS on?
because 90% of the time, anyone who buys something like that is going to take the IHS off, and place the heatsink right on the die.
>>54877725
The one thing I REALLY don't get is why do they put the top cap back on. I mean, it's just useless thermal resistance. If you care so much about cooling anyway, just put a custom heat exchanger directly onto the die.
>>54877725
In this case its entirely cost savings. During packaging a certain number of dies still break, and they're more likely to break while an IHS is being soldered on with flux. Thermal compound pressed into place is lower risk.

No, 99.999999% of people never ever do this. The customer base for i7 Extreme processors are prosumers looking for a workstation without paying for enterprise boards and Xeons.
They are not going to delid their processors, they're going to stick it in the board, and never touch it again.

Hey /g/ I just got into Skype and I try to make video calls but my microphone comes in really quiet. Can anybody tell me what is going on my microphone is realtek.
>>54877427
God is punishing you for touching yourself at night.
>>54877427
you need to calibrate you microphone. skype asked you to do this when you installed it. did you skip that step? anyway, you need to run it [now|again].
>>54877518
It only gave a notification of my mic is very low only giving me an option on how high I want it which I set to its max but it is still too low. How would I go about in how to calibrate it?
If my college uses Java, is it automatically code monkey tier?
>>54877361
All cs programs at any college/university is code monkey tier, unless you have portfolio to show you understand how to develop thing, then it's always going to be code monkey tier
>>54877361
Unless you deploy something, you will always be a code monkey
But using Java does come pretty close to code monkey tier
>>54877361
Yes, in fact you shouldn't even go to college for CS.
