What was /g/'s first smartphone? And how much did you like it/hate it?
Do you miss it?
Mine was pick related
Sony Ericsson Xperia X8
No flash, not zoom, no way to refocus the camera, no multi-touch screen but honestly, it was comfy af
It could go a day or two without charging it and it only had a 1200 mah battery, and fit perfectly in that small pocket trousers have on the right side where clocks were supposed to go
If only it had a dual touch screen it would make the perfect gba emulator machine
>>54921535
Sony Ericsson xperia x10 mini pro.
Could see the pixels and the screen was tiny, but that keyboard was comfy as fuck.
Also, what are some classic must haves from back then? Shit like pimp my rom .
HTC P3600.
It was shit and slow on windows mobile 6.
O2 XDA back in the day.
New /bst/, comfy edition
I feel like there's been an unnecessary amount of battlestation threads lately.
anyway, sweet cat!
>>54920911
Like that you've dropped the LEDs (at least in public)
Cat is nice, bulletin board is nice, cat is nice. guts look okay, casee is meh, monitor could be better. Keyboard is meh.
>>54920929
Maybe I'm alone on this but I don't like TVs above battle stations.
Concur that there are too many /bst/s these days.
>>54920947
>guts look okay, casee is meh, monitor could be better. Keyboard is meh.
The Case is already 5 or 6 years old, but has very good ventilation (3x200mm Fan + 2x120mm). It sadly has no good cablemanagment stuff and I will buy a new one, when my computer gets too slow
I haven't decided on a new Monitor yet, as I think that there isn't such a big difference and 4k 60fps is pretty expensive. (Also, there isn't that much 4k Video Content yet, so I will wait some time).
Why people say Python is shit?
Because people think easy = shit like always

this. if you didn't suffer when you learned to code, you're not "legit".
it's like if frats were run by autistic nerds.

This situation absolutely wreaks.
The entire accusation originates from two people on Twitter.
The first is Andrea Shepard. She's a Tor developer but is well known for overreacting. For example, she accused Yasha Levine of Pando of being a fascist rapist.
Shepard's precommitment is vaguely worded to such an extent that she's unlikely to be held accountable for libel or slander. "It seems one rapist is one rapist too many" doesn't name Jake or Tor and could easily be a personal mantra published at a bad time.
The next is Meredith Patterson. Here she is implying plagiarists graduate to sexual assault. Here is a bad-faith argument between Jake and Meredith on Twitter in which she accuses him of plagiarism and emerges in the wrong. There's bad blood.
Consider point (4) with the fact Jake just started studying a Ph.D, which is likely the reason he's stepped down from Tor.
These accusations aren't even 24 hours old and there's already a fucking character assassination website.
The character assassination website (which goes down often) has placeholders for Jake's victims. It also has a tweet button which retweets:
I just read on @ioerror's homepage https://ioerrror.github.io/jacobappelbaum.net that he has sexually assaulted many people in #tech. #wtf

Starting with a obvious one.
"tool used by some of the best doctors and surgeons is a flop"
come on man
>>54916284
It was supposed to be the next big thing. Not a niche tool. Even if every surgeon buys one, is still a flop, commercially.
hehehe
Today I fucked up.

How bad did I fuck up /g/? And what the fuck AMD!
Tfw you get a 50% bargain on a gtx 980ti
>>54916177
Where the fuck are you finding these deals?
>buying a GPU instead of just going 6 days without gaming
>not knowing that when you built your computer, AMD's processors that use the FM socket don't have iGPUs and the ones that use the AM socket do have iGPUs (although AM4 which releases with Zen creates a unified socket for AMD).
Im tired of the meme card threads.
Guys, what is the best programming language to learn and what is the best way to learn it,
It's funny you think this garbage is any better.
1 - The one most suitable for a given task
2 - By programming with it
If everything fails just use python
>>54915913
You need to learn how to program.
Any language will do. Take your pick.
I'm so excited for the 379$ 1070 guys
>>54914347
pfff
Fuck off AMDrone shill poorfag
The 1070 is the most powerful card for that price, and it would be a mistake to purposely not buy it. Plus the Fury X is shit, fuck you AMD shill.
>inb4 muh price

It doesn't fucking matter

There's been a lot of AMD shilling going on recently, but let's face it:
>8g 480x 250$
>390x tier performance with lower tdp
>1070
>379$
>Titan X performance, beats an crossfire 480 setup
AMD once again jumped the bullet and once again came out short. NVIDIA is actually offering more bang for the buck.
>>54909949
AMD showed a crossfire 480 beats a 1080 so fuck off kike
Someone is ignoring the fact that at any given time, there were no less than 6 threads AT THE SAME TIME. When the 1080 came out.
>>54909949
implying it will cost $379
