why are these meme databases so popular?
does anyone have the benchmark where the difference is like .2 frames
>>54991212
using some meme db in your project makes it harder to replace you because no ones fucking heard of them
Are all the SQL databases just grouped under MySQL? Or does no one actually use PostgreSQL? Seems like the best choice at this point.

Kickass. More people using FreeBSD will benefit not just FreeBSD, but also Open/Net/Dragonfly/WhateverBSD.
>>54990894
It seems like Microsoft is really going to switch from the NT kernel to some UNIX-compatible kernel like Apfel AG did it a couple of years ago.
>>54991259
Good. It's the only major operating system left that isn't UNIX like. Prepare for a UNIX future.
These are amazing. I don't understand why it took me this long to find them.
What are the downsides to these? Bandwidth is better than WiFi, latency is better than WiFi, and stability is way better than WiFi.

Not that i know... My internal net is at 282Mb/s even if we have got two different line

Man. I hope not. I want the strix 1070. But if it's 5k nok. Then Fuck it.
Hopefully 480 is good tho
>>54990739
I'm kinda hoping i'm wrong, we will see tomorrow.
Komplett is probably going to have information on it tomorrow morning, they probably will open up orders around 3 PM just like the 1080 release.
get a 5X or wait for the 4th gen Moto G?
>>54990678
5x is a rip-off. Google intentionally gimped it to push 6p.

Typing from one now, it's a lagfiend for sure
it does not run smoothly, despite stock.
Hey /g/
after a long time I've googled for some raspberry pi projects, that are actually useful and you CAN'T substitude them with any other product in the same price range.
Well what I have found I can divide into 2 categories. First are cringy projects that are not useful at all. They just show off what raspberry can do (no really, I dont wanna turn raspberry in to thermometer I can just buy one fo like $2) and no, I don't wanna log temperature in my room - for what?
The second category are pretty cool projects (like ODB 2 car reader) but I can actually buy a product from Aliexpress which does the same - 0 effort, mostly even cheaper.
Can you give me some actually good ideas (mainly some car stuff), what I can use raspberry for? Except XMBC center or some ultra hi-techy robot shit?
Thanks in advance mates.
Personally I just get enjoyment from tinkering with things like the RPI, my most recent project was a handheld emulator using the RPI zero that yeah cost more than other handhelds that do the same thing but I don't care because the real fun for me was designing and building it. I guess the RPI really caters to a more DIY type mentality and community and if you prefer using a prebuilt item I guess the RPI isn't for you and that's not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.
>>54990750
Well, yea you are right. DIY is 80% of raspberry and arduino. But I've seen (many years ago) some cool projects, that actually do something and real product cant compare with them (price).
Also the biggest issue are cases. Every time you build something, which means you attach/connect something to you raspberry you have to also craft your own case, which wraps raspberry, wires, display (if any) and so on... The result is fat package, mostly from wood or any other medival material.
I would like to build car camera. I mean on board one, not the parking one. I guess there is need of raspberry itself, camera (that do not record in 2 fps per week), and huge sd card. Also wrap all this into case which I can easily mount and unmount to my car.
It might be a bit expensive, but car cameras are super expensive, so there is no way I could exceed the "real product price" inc. my effort and time.
>>54990879
I like pi/linux camera projects because you can have all images automatically encrypted with pgp, and upload when wifi is present. So if its lost, stolen or confiscated by police they can't access it without you.
It's only getting worse /g/

Ok so I've been looking a bit at FreeBSD. I'm a loonix user bit I can't really see what would make BSD better except that it would make me even less of a normie.
Can someone give me some quick pros/cons and please, not just some biased shitpost.
>>54990641
BSD as a whole is much closer to UNIX and each different one like open/free/net have their own unique strengths. FreeBSD has jails and largest community and zfs. NetBSD has an excellent kernel and OpenBSD strives for code correctness and being secure out of the box with an excellent firewall.
>>54990574
OpenBSD is top comfy. Using it on my old Dell laptop since 4 years with no problem at all.
Will rape this blowfish tho.
Can you run a computer without graphics card?
>>54990283
Yes.
>>54990283
Some boards can, on some operating systems.
Most can't.
> including iGPU as a graphics card
Integrated gpu will be the alternative. Almost every mother board does have one.
Why aren't you an application developer?
